Browsing through some related headlines and came across an interesting item------ masks for the deaf, or people who read lips.

Here, there and everywhere.
I went to Wal-Mart yesterday - I had to. My parents needed medication, and they're 80+, and my sister is handicapped and has weak lungs and is on oxygen, so they CANNOT go anywhere.

It was like shopping on a Friday night after everyone got paid. Packs of teenagers walking around, kids running around, only 10% of people wearing masks/gloves. I had my wipes in my baggie, my gloves and mask on, and it was impossible to keep any kind of distance. There have been 75+ deaths in my parish (county for everyone else). WTF? Kids hanging off the sides of the carts, which nobody was disinfecting. I'm so scared. Especially because I came home and washed my hands and changed my shirt, but forgot to change my jeans and now I'm afraid it's everywhere in my house.

Prayers for all of you. These are scary times.

We must live in twin counties/parishes!!!
Be safe. Keep in touch. If you have disinfecting wipes, go around the house and wipe things down. SHOES, if you can change shoes in your car. HOuse shoes, outside shoes!! Disinfect shoes if only one pair.

S**t. Well, I'm going to go disinfect my floors and shoes now.

You know, I'm pretty sure I had the virus already. I didn't get tested, because they weren't testing when I was sick. Same for my daughter - she was up at college and got really sick, tested negative for flu and strep, and was coughing so hard someone called the RA to do a wellness check on her.

Of course, they don't know yet if you can catch it twice.

Glad to hear you both got through it and really hope it's given you an immunity.

Somewhere over the rainbow
My mom is in total lock down. Sheltering in place.
She is not allowed to mingle with the human race.
We're not taking chances with her but that doesn't mean
That she hasn't seen her children during quarantine.

We've set up a tribute table by her outside door
Where we leave the groceries we picked up at the store,
Make sure that she wipes them down then visit through the glass
And remind her what she taught us; that this, too, shall pass.

Hang on to your loved ones (speaking metaphorically.)
We have even "face-timed" my entire family.
Though we're social distancing we're never far apart.
Even if you're all alone you're close to someone's heart.

Stay safe all.

So, in the UK we have a guy called David Icke, he is a conspiracy theorist. He has been linking 5G networks to Coronavirus symptoms and all the videos he uploads to YouTube about it are getting blocked in this country. Regardless, he should have the right to voice his opinion. But because their is no law in the UK which protects freedom of speech tjey are basically allowed to censor however they think so.

Day 13....... I'm bored and stir crazy. The house is really clean, though.......not that anyone can come over to see it. The basement is all set up with my sewing machine, and I'm washing the stuff I got from my family to cut up for my first quilt. Hoping I can order some extra fabric online, and maybe some thread. Turns out that hobbies aren't essential.
