I agree it wasn't pass interference, but to not call defensive holding?....Wow....right in front of the ref...literally...

I thought they should have gotten the call...and we all know how much I love Tom Brady and the Patriots! Or not.They said Gronk wouldn't have gotten to the ball anyway, but how do they know that, the way they were bear hugging him?

It's going to be quite the atmosphere around my house! Hubby and the 11 yr old will be cheering for the Pats and me and the two little ones the Broncos. (They are still little enough they think Mom's team is better. ) I will probably end up downstairs by myself where I can watch in peace.

I don't know...he looked pretty shaken up after the hit. Isn't there a rule now that they have to sit out a week after a concussion? I don't want him to get hurt even more. But I was looking forward to the crowd's reaction too!
I think they made the right no call at the end. It was an uncatchable ball anyway. Had the ball been thrown better and closer to Gronk the penalty would have stuck. As it was the ball was thrown a few yards short. Thus uncatchable. And it can't be defensive holding since the ball was in the air. Had the game been played in Foxoboro the call would have stuck anyway.

Yup, it is in the NFL rulebook. Since there is a rule for pass interference a rule for defensive holding while the ball is in the air would seem redundant.
Well Saturday night, Alabama beat us by only 20 point. So, that's not so bad. The Egg Bowl is coming up and it is in Starkville, and this is not going to be a happy turkey day.

Peyton Manning has thrown for twenty-one more touchdowns this season than Brady and with one fewer INT. That is pretty amazing. If Manning throws three TDs in each remaining game he will tie Brady's single season record from 2007. That one TD against the Chiefs really hurt his chances.

I think Wes Welker had a lot to do with both of them attaining those stats.
