Suh-lee... cha, cha, cha...The last few pages of this thread are what I would call a full on, highly skilled hijack. I applaud you all.
To quote Dudley Moore's butler in Arthur when he asks the butler to draw his bath- 'It's what I live for.'The last few pages of this thread are what I would call a full on, highly skilled hijack. I applaud you all.
And he said it in such a droll way. He was a great actor. To quote Dudley Moore's butler in Arthur when he asks the butler to draw his bath- 'It's what I live for.'
I think I laughed the hardest at that moment during that movie. Such a classic line and delivery! And he said it in such a droll way. He was a great actor.
"I wish I had a dime for every dime I have".I think I laughed the hardest at that moment during that movie. Such a classic line and delivery!
...then there's MY side of things....I'm a male nurse, part of the medical profession NOT dominated by men...and I'm not growing a surrogate vagina because of it...Sooner or later, I regret joining any discussion I enter, bc my mouth never knows how to stay closed for long. I've gotten in trouble my whole life for this little issue of mine, and especially so when working in a profession that's still seen more as a man's than woman's profession. The medical field has been dominated with men for so long that I think some of them think the literal profession grew an extra leg in support of male doctors, male paramedics, male Operating Room technicians. Whatever. My mouth still hasn't gotten the message that just because it's connected to a female body that means it should stay closed.
I never let regretting it stop me or I'd be stopped from every discussion I have with people.
....and we're all thankful for that!!...then there's MY side of things....I'm a male nurse, part of the medical profession NOT dominated by men...and I'm not growing a surrogate vagina because of it...
...but you see where I'm coming from??...she's not the only one who deals with sexism and gender domination in their profession....I wanted to be a labor & delivery nurse and help take care of little ones, but because I was a man, I was never given an even chance at any of the medical facilities around here...even though the vast majority of Docs in the profession are men.......and we're all thankful for that!!
I do get it, bug guy......and the profession missed out, in my opinion....but you see where I'm coming from??...she's not the only one who deals with sexism and gender domination in their profession....I wanted to be a labor & delivery nurse and help take care of little ones, but because I was a man, I was never given an even chance at any of the medical facilities around here...even though the vast majority of Docs in the profession are men...
...thanks, I think...but I didn't want to be an exterminator...I do get it, bug guy......and the profession missed out, in my opinion.
