Can not believe that Dorian is JUST at Jacksonville. Too long... Hope all will be well when you get home. For now, enjoy the westcoast sunshine.
I was expecting to be in nasty weather here (just not nearly as bad as at home). I brought reading material expecting to be holed up in my hotel room but the weather has been great and I haven’t read a thing. There is an annual music festival here called Big Orange Music Festival and I was going to come here last year to see Lukas Nelson. He cancelled so I didn’t come but that’s how this town got on my radar. Big Orange is in October and I’m planning on coming back. My hotel is within walking distance to the park where the festival is (actually, everything is within walking distance here).
So glad you enjoyed that part of the west coast. I'm about 150 miles due north. Safe travels back home.

So far so good here on the west coast, and fljoe0 came over to this side further south and is enjoying then calm.
Not so nice of the east coast.

6 o'clock weather had us with 40 MPH winds and maybe 4 tenths of rain. But hasn't got close yet. We'll see.

BF is okay. Tornado this morning was nearby. Looking likely that they will be getting a portion of the eye if it doesn't turn soon. Hoping OBX are okay!
