While the Northern part of the state was having ice storms, we were 81 yesterday.

Last week we had several nights in the 40s and the local newscasters kept talking about the "dangerous cold." :biggrin2: I was thinking that most of you guys would love some 40 degree weather.
You mean 40 above then, not 40 below zero?
Just kidding - it doesn't get to 40 below here that often (just hovers around minus 20 - 30 lately).
Today it is currently around - 18 C
(with the wind chill it's minus 29 C)

Last Friday I took my daughter to see Keith Urban in Toronto and on the way home at about 1am we were in the middle of a blizzard. Sitting forward in the seat, chin practically planted on the dash, hands in a death grip on the wheel; when suddenly a blast of white occurs and your stomach drops into your lap as the road vanishes and you have no idea where you are. It's a sickening feeling.

Hope it's sunny and warm where you are. :)

No snow to move today good thing. And we warmed up a bit...about 20F or so...-5?/C give or take a notch. Twenty degrees feels positively tropical. We hit 40 a month or two from now we'll be in shorts. Not a pretty sight. Schedule your vacation time for later in the year.

Couple three four days ago when the sun was coming up I saw this...those two rainbow pillars. Took a couple photos but whoever took these has a better camera. I guess they are called "sun dogs". Not sure where these were taken...possibly Dollar Bay, about seven miles away and that's either Torch Lake or Portage Lake frozen and snow-covered.
