Happy Anniversary, Neesy!!! :love_heart:
Happy Anniversary!
Probably no one here looks like they did 13 years ago. But I bet you're still a lovely couple (whenever you do get to spend time together). :)

Thanks everyone - he had to text me this morning to remind me :a11:

Moderator - regarding your comment, probably only Cher looks like she did 13 years ago and that's thanks to plastic surgery! ;-D

Happy anniversary Neese, lovely photo!
Happy Anniversary Neesy and hubby!! :love_heart:

Thanks! Guess I will buy him a nice lobster or lobstrocity souvenir from Maine - something kitschy like a key chain (as a gag gift). He will get his real gift in August.

First of all, I'm no longer moderated, yay! :joyous: Not that it was bad, I didn't mind at all. But I couldn't post in fast moving threads or forum games, because there's no point in it if your post appears after five other replies have buried your message (especially in games). Now I can! :bat:

The other happy is a little odd, but it's a happy nonetheless. So as a kid, I was terrified of the civil defense siren. It got better as I got older, I could handle the monthly tests, but I was still terrified that that thing would go off for real. Up until last night.

...We were woken up by that godawful sound at 4 AM. At first I was paralysed, but then reason kicked in. I got out of bed (calmly! :icon_eek: ), turned on the computer, and went to our local news site to see what was wrong. It was "just" a huge fire that was spreading dangerous fumes. Why is that a happy? Because I didn't freak out, and it wasn't the end of the world! I always thought that if the sirens went off, it would mean that complete mayhem had broken out, and my life would be over. Last night I found out that the sirens can go off, and we will still be okay. I am no longer afraid of it. :star:

Congrats on being un moderated. Glad the sound of sirens is not so terrifying anymore.

Congrats on being unmoderated, klerkast. I grew up in a time when we had air raid drills on a regular basis and the siren went off every day at noon, just to be sure it worked, I figure. It was mind numbing being under that thing when it went off. I remember as kids if we were close to it at noon we would run as fast as we could to get as far away from it and the deafening sound. We had training on getting to the air raid shelters and even did the duck and cover drill, although it was about a decade after the actual training came out. The nuns in our school were at least a decade behind everything, and I guess thought we might be able to survive a nuke explosion. Kinda felt cheated as a kid doing all that training and no freakin' invasion ever occurred.
