I'm happy that you're happy, Spidey!

I am also happy today because... I started a new job, and I love it. Today was my second day. Is it possible to be head over heels in love with a job? If so, I am. It's part-time, but I'm hoping it turns into full-time. I'm working in a library!! Oh, sweet heaven, I'm in a quiet room surrounded by books all day long. Shelving them, checking them in and out, pulling orders, checking books for damage (a lot of people read in the tub, apparently). And I'm smiling the entire time. I didn't want to leave this afternoon when the clock hit 2:00. What did I do to deserve this lavish gift of a job??

Dream jobs do come along. Wow, you sound like you are on cloud 9. Happy for you!! Green lights, right!

And in case anyone wonders....we have two working VHS machines. One is definitely connected to a tv, the other I'm not sure.
My mom still has a VHS player. All my nieces (and nephew) watch my Disney VHS movies there (I have dozens of the original tapes-I guess they're my mom's now ). Could never afford to replace them all on DVD, so this way they can still watch the classics. :)

I am happy because, I feel happy and hopeful. Finally got that butterfly feeling back in my stomach of new things. Job is good. Apt is going to be good. And I have all the wonderful people here on the boards up front and behind that make me smile everyday.

I am happy because I have internet access again! Had a cable that was down in the backyard, and it took almost two days for them to come out to repair it. At least they fixed it in time for me to pay a bill online so I didn't get a late fee! I feel bad they have to work weekends, but am grateful.

I am happy because it looked like I would lose 1000 Sears Club points (they told me 247 of them had expired on October 25th)
but when I pointed out that on my bill it just said they would expire in October '15 or 2015 but not a specific date, they reinstated them.

So now I am getting a 10 dollar Sears gift card sent in the mail! Woo Hoo! That makes me feel better after all the basement flooding/plumber/drain problems I had today.

From Scotland, live in Ireland
It's 2am in Scotland. In 36 hours I'm marrying my best friend. I've spent the last few days at my future in-laws house in the beautiful Scottish countryside, enjoying their hospitality and putting the finishing touches to our wedding. I've spent most of this evening drinking red wine in my future father in law's shed and enjoying a relaxing night in the pub with one of my groomsmen. I literally don't think I could be any happier :) :) :)

Also I have my Kindle loaded with unread Stephen King books for the honeymoon!

Wow! - that is so great! Congratulations - will there be any people wearing kilts in the church/ceremony or reception?
