That's exactly what I meant. It's business etiquette to send a thank you for the interview. It shows you are interested and polite. What I meant was the person wanting a job sending a thank you note for the interview.

And that is a wonderful sound.I hear the sound of lil tenderpads all over the house. Snorts.
Hi, friends. I would love some advice on this - I was one of three candidates called in for an interview, and my interview was last Monday. They told me that they would be interviewing the last candidate early this week, and then they'd let me know one way or another whether I got the job. I sent thank you notes to the man and woman who interviewed me, expressing my interest in the job. So - if they interviewed the last candidate early this week, and I still haven't heard anything today (Friday), would it be pushy for me to call and ask if they've made a decision, or should I just sit here and be a mess until I get a phone call or rejection letter? It's just that it's Friday, and I don't want to be a ball of nerves all weekend. What do you think?
Thanks again (and again and again, forever and ever, amen), everyone! Still haven't heard anything. I'm assuming that they either haven't made a decision yet, or they mailed out the rejection letters and I just haven't received one yet.
All of your kind words have made it easier for me to get through this weekend, and I feel much better. Thank you.
I think Mod's comment expresses a healthy attitude for anybody under the circumstances. It's obviously easy to feel rejected if we get a "rejection" letter, and to take one more personally than we should, and to get discouraged, especially in a bad economic environment. So, I say keep your head up no matter what they tell you, SusanNorton. Still, I'm praying they tell you what you'd like to hear....[per Mod]Good luck, SusanN, for whatever the best opportunity is for you--either this one or a better one later.
What Sundrop said It shows that you're truly interested in the position they are offering, not just in getting a job, any job, KWIM?I think it would be fine to call, thank them for the interview once more, and ask when the decision might be made.
Good luck! ♥
