Happy Hump Day!

I have been busting my hump spring cleaning. Been fighting the blues, but slowly getting better. Scrubbing things helps. I cannot put my finger on a reason, I think it is a combination of things, but mostly just being sick of winter. It was like a switch was pulled, that last snow we got, just like that, I was soooo over winter. Boom. Done. Just go away already.

We have had a few nice days, the grass is starting to green up and trees are budding, so hopefully spring has sprung.

Anyway, carpets are shampooed, walls washed. Been working on the kitchen this week. I have the fridge and 2 walls left, the walls with no cabinets, so that should go pretty quick. Hope to be done by the time Scott gets home from pt today. (Oh, he has started the industrial pt and is with a new person. He does not like her and she does not like him. This last month or so is going to be loooong.)

Hope your day is good to you! Big hugs and positive vibes to all. :love_heart:
Sorry to hear about Scott - it is so much easier if you get a person you "click" with - well, just tell him to hang in there - maybe he'll want to get better faster so he can be done with her!

Was up around 8 today - thinking maybe I will go see my "alternate" doctor today - he has a walk-in clinic whereas my regular doc needs an appointment.

The blisters on my baby toes are still intact (just puffy) but the one on the second toe in on the right has broken open.

It is weird - I wore my comfortable Nike runners for the last four days - guess I just have "sissy feet" - not used to getting a long workout! :m_curious:

This is what my toes feel like (only not the big toe)

:m_bump:(they don't have toe blister smileys so I resorted to this one)

Happy Hump Day! :bee::encouragement:

I know exactly what you mean about the snow. We were nowhere near seeing any spring growth but now it's that much longer before we will. I'd say there's at least 9" or 10" of snow in my yard and 3 or 4 foot tall piles where it was plowed up. I'd been doing fairly well getting through the winter but that 14" from the last storm that is mostly still on the ground was just too much. And as I'm looking out the window now, it is spitting snow. Not supposed to accumulate but still.... Seems like the past couple years March has come in like a lamb and gone out like a lion instead of the other way around.

Hope your winter blues are over soon and your weather improves (((Tina))).

If it makes you feel better, it's 72 and mostly sunny here right now. On our way to a pleasant 76 degrees today. And for here, almost no humidity.

The spitting snow has turned into flurries with big puffy flakes and the wind is blowing it practically sideways, so no, that does not make me feel better although I'm happy someone is getting to enjoy nice weather. :smile2:

Well, then close your eyes and imagine it... Can't you just smell the sea breeze?
What's keeping me from completely succumbing to cabin fever is that I have my tickets bought for my trip to AZ for two weeks in May and a hotel booked in Sedona for a couple of nights when I first get there as I have a tenant until May 1st and arrive on April 29th.

Update on my job - I am actually called a "Messenger" now so had to turn in my old Medical Transcriptionist ID - was trained Saturday and Sunday on the 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. shift and I enjoyed it very much.

Monday and Tuesday was 1630 to 2300 (thought I'd say it both ways, although technically the hospital should use the 24 hour clock or military time)

Wednesday is my day off.

I have blisters on my feet tonight after four days of walking, and walking and walking.

I went from an average of 8000 steps per day in the old job to 20, 230 the first night and then 21000 or so the next two nights.

Tonight was 24, 596 steps - no wonder my legs are tired!

I enjoy walking around to the wards - we go to Women's Hospital, Children's and also the General Wards. We deliver medications and TPN (total parenteral nutrition), pick up lab samples, take charts from Medical Records when requested e.g. Women's triage [some of those poor girls on the labour floor sound like they are in agony] :icon_eek: (never realized how lucky I was to have such easy births).

Well, enough about that for now - I sure hope that once my body adjusts and I get in better shape it will become easier (it should).

Sorry I have not been able to post much lately - still having mouse problems with my desktop computer so I had to resort to my laptop
Glad your new gig is going well Neesy. Good luck. "RUN, FORREST NEESY, RUN!!!!":run_pig::run_pig::run_pig::)
