Robert Jenkins is an interesting character to me also. His background as a fiction writer gives credibility to the explanation he gives Albert for their situation (it's a good one!). I like the references to The Shop because I'm rereading Firestarter right now as well.

I like the character but have a little problem with him. He seems too distanced from the whole situation. As if hes not really there. As if it all happens too a character hes created. But this is real and he just takes it in a stride. strange i think.

Might be. Or perhaps an author thing? And speaking of authors i loved the references to Robert Heinlein.

I do agree with you - he seems detatched. Although his character is vital because he gives us the plausible scenarios for what might've happened.

It is a part of the larger story Revolt in 2100. Three novellas that united tells a story.
