Very true!Probably because what an individual imagines as a Langolier can't be replicated.

I like the character but have a little problem with him. He seems too distanced from the whole situation. As if hes not really there. As if it all happens too a character hes created. But this is real and he just takes it in a stride. strange i think.Robert Jenkins is an interesting character to me also. His background as a fiction writer gives credibility to the explanation he gives Albert for their situation (it's a good one!). I like the references to The Shop because I'm rereading Firestarter right now as well.
I'll continue to ponder this as the story progresses. Do you think it has anything to do with being so immersed in the world of fiction he might have issues with reality?I like the character but have a little problem with him. Might be. Or perhaps an author thing? And speaking of authors i loved the references to Robert Heinlein.I'll continue to ponder this as the story progresses. Do you think it has anything to do with being so immersed in the world of fiction he might have issues with reality?
He was speaking of Coventry. Thatr is a good Heinlein story.Might be. Or perhaps an author thing? And speaking of authors i loved the references to Robert Heinlein.
I do agree with you - he seems detatched. Although his character is vital because he gives us the plausible scenarios for what might've happened.I like the character but have a little problem with him. I haven't read anything by him. I'll have to seek out Coventry. Thanks for the rec!He was speaking of Coventry. Thatr is a good Heinlein story.
In this day and age, SK could've made Jenkins any kind of conspiracy theorist - he wouldn't necessarily have to be a fiction writer.Exactly and he is a likeable one too.
It is a part of the larger story Revolt in 2100. Three novellas that united tells a story.I haven't read anything by him. I'll have to seek out Coventry. Thanks for the rec!
But perhaps not able to think in a deductive way?In this day and age, SK could've made Jenkins any kind of conspiracy theorist - he wouldn't necessarily have to be a fiction writer.
