Yesterday I made a homemade pizza with Trader Joe's premade pizza dough. Fresh red peppers, mushrooms and red onions all chopped up. Then oregano and basil sprinkled across and mozzarella sliced and randomly placed. Take out of oven, sprinkle with black pepper and red pepper flakes.

Oh man. It was absolutely deelish and the first pizza ever that was good heated up the next day. I actually thought it was better the second day.

Tomorrow I will make chicken soup with homestyle noodles and mirepoix, fresh seasonings and an organic broth.

What are you having for supper/dinner?

Doc Creed -- miss your wonderful home cooking dishes.
Hey, Deej. I am afraid it was the ole "add water to Hamburger Helper", tonight. :)

Well, dinner was disappointment, as they skimped on the ingredients while charging an arm and a leg, so going to have to tuck in to some venison croghan bologna with cheese curd and mustard to fill up the the corners..View attachment 33736
hmmmm, interesting. Is it yummy? The deer bologna?

Yes, it is ground venison with a bit of pork, spices, it is like a summer sausage..suitable to pair with crackers and cheese, but also can make a nice sandwich, it is leaner than the counterpart that is made of mostly beef.. very little fat in venison..
Deer is not my favorite but that sounds good.

I've never heard of Persian cucumbers, I would be surprised if my local stores would carry it..I do like cucumbers, on sandwiches or just plain with a bit of salt and pepper, dipped into italian dressing..
I eat them plain with salt and pepper and lately I've been using this seasoning too: (I found the persian cucumbers at Trader Joes. My local grocery stores don't carry them.) . Obviously I bought everything Trader Joe's sells.

Yeah, it has to be prepared right.. I like it sliced thin, with onions, green peppers and mushrooms, with a piece of bacon for flavor fried in an iron skillet..yumm

Okay, that sounds good too.

I love Elk and Moose but something about the deer was just not right. Maybe it had to do with what the deer ate all year. Or how it was prepared.

Here, there and everywhere.

I've had deer about five times, and only had a problem with it once. The best was a venison stew. My mouth is watering thinking about it.

I just made Molly Yeh's Orecchiette with Broccolini and Sausage. It was good.

Yummy!

Today it's leftover Chicken a la King (which I had frozen earlier)

For a fresh side dish I am making Darth Tater

There are a lot of good recipes in these books

Darth Tater is roasted potatoes with onion then you add a can of cheddar cheese soup (which I did not have so I just made a white sauce and put some cheddar in it)

You sprinkle some shredded cheese over that and also some chopped green onions, put it back in the oven at 375 for about 25 minutes
