The 50 Best Horror Novels of All Time
I need to read Head Full of Ghosts.
I thought it was Fishhead Full Of Ghosts
It was, initially, but publishers thought it was too racy. Some were hooked, though.
*groans*
Oh, yeah...I want to read Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons. You read it?
....and don't snark me....just saying....Im just saying that re reading a long series by Stephen King just isnt fun anymore like it was back then in the mid 1990s. and im not saying back off to a moderator.
Its to anyone who wants to try to get on my back or argue with me about it.
So dont make it an issue, GNT. Just saying.
Carrion Comfort is one of the best horror novels from the 80's. Well, it's not exactly a horror novel as it crosses a few genres, but it is a great novel. I guarantee you will never forget the last line (and NO peaking ahead!).

I can guarantee that you will catch some flak for this little tidbit. Allow me to be the first.
"Wheelchair chick?" Seriously? She has a name (a few of them, actually) and is a major character in the series. You don't have to like either character but, jeez dude, don't be a d*ck about it.
Excuse me but I am not being a dick. I can call her wheelchair Sally I dont care.
SHe has like what 3 names in Dark Tower II? Susan or Odette and some other name too since shes schizophrenic or whatever.
and yes Eddie was a druggie in Dark Tower II.
and I never said I dont hate them. Im just saying thats what they were like in Dark Tower II. Dark Tower II i didnt enjoy since I already read it before a long time when I was in high school in the mid 1990s. So, back off will ya
Dark Tower III which I am reading right now. Also not enjoying it as I used to back then. All it is, its about the gang meeting up with the other Jake and hearing about Blaine and then the weird town with the people who had some tragic history about a war
...wow!....”back off” to a Moderator?....may your soul Rest In Peace....
Wow. I'm gonna move over here to the side and watch this play out. Maybe eat some popcorn.Im just saying that re reading a long series by Stephen King just isnt fun anymore like it was back then in the mid 1990s. and im not saying back off to a moderator.

This. Then don't read it. But don't come to a Stephen King message board with a chip the size of the Titanic on your shoulder. We are polite to one another even if we disagree. If you can't handle that, perhaps this MB isn't for you.

I agree! - thought NOS4A2 was great
7. NOS4A2 by Joe Hill (2013)
Not one to be outdone by his dear old dad, Heart-Shaped Box and Horns author Joe Hill unleashed full holiday terror for his third novel, along with a warm embrace of the nostalgia-tinged magic so frequently employed by Stephen King. In NOS4A2, both Victoria McQueen and Charlie Manx can slip out of time and space when they ride the right vehicle: Vic can find lost things on her rickety bike, and Manx can journey to “Christmasland” in his vintage Rolls-Royce Wraith. Beyond the cheery name and amusement-park shine, Manx’ Christmasland is the last place good little boys and girls want to end up, and Vic is the only child who escapes a ride on the Wraith. Much like Santa himself, Manx never forgets a child, and when Vic is too old for his tastes, Vic’s son will do. NOS4A2 represented a turning point for Hill, as his own career was established enough that he loosened up about his parentage, resulting in a novel that blends the best of Hill’s distinct style with his father’s influence—and the most quintessentially frightening take on Christmas in modern memory.
I gave up on page 15... I had no clue.....can't believe I missed this sucker till now.....what a great little read thus far....
