I got done listing to Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. The very end of that book is so very trippy

You know it’s going to be good when the cover shows a bunch of Dr. Doom looking wolves wielding lightsabers.Enjoy the journey.
Are there any bears??? It's just not an Irving novel unless it has bears....I am deliberately taking my time with the latest Irving novel. I'm on page 145. Although his books are published more frequently than in past years, I like to read them slowly. (I'm reading a few other novels, too.) This one is set in Mexico, The United States, The Philippines, and a few other places. Yes, there is the token prostitute, writer, and even another circus!
Here is a two minute clip where the author explains how the timeline is constructed without giving away the plot.
Not yet, LOL....but there is a circus. I need a John Irving checklist. Are there any bears??? It's just not an Irving novel unless it has bears....
Talk about it here:I havent bought the book yet, but has anyone else bought and read the Flight or Fright short story collection?
You should read her part one of the Stand if she ever refuses to wash her hands.I'm working my way through Part 2 of The Stand for our group read. Also reading The Shining with my daughter. She has read Eyes of the Dragon and Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, but this is her first scary one! She is loving it!!
Has she asked you if she could choose another Stephen King book? That's cool that you will have this in common with your kid.I'm working my way through Part 2 of The Stand for our group read. Does your daughter like cats? If so Pet Sematary or maybe Doctor Sleep would be right up her alleyI'm working my way through Part 2 of The Stand for our group read. And if she prefers dogs there’s always Cujo or the Sun Dog, or even the dogman from The Shining (but your already reading that one)
What about the Green Mile? It’s got some mature content but if you read The Shining she should be okay with it, just skip over the parts where Percy is caught pleasuring himself to the popeye comic if she’s not old enough to understand that.Oh yes!! She has been asking to read more, I was just waiting until she got a bit older. She is now the same age I was when I started reading SK. She is a reader! I love that she is old enough now to share! I am so proud!
I think maybe The Talisman will be next, or Salem's Lot. Doctor Sleep is a good suggestion though, to follow The Shining!
We will work our way through. She is almost 13 but a very advanced reader and mature for her age. I am comfortable leaving the choices up to her. What about the Green Mile? I'm happy you all share this. My oldest has joined me in my love for all things SK - just in the past few years. She's almost 27 and she's currently reading The Stand. My youngest has read The Girl Who Love Tom Gordon and she loved it, but she hasn't read anything else by SK. She's 15. My son, 17, loves all the TV series but still hasn't read a book by SK. He prefers reading non-fiction.We will work our way through. She is almost 13 but a very advanced reader and mature for her age. I am comfortable leaving the choices up to her.
