You have friends? :umm::)

5 for 5 is seriously good. I would have been on the edge of my seat the entire game. :thumbs_up:

What position does he play?
Friend, singular. :biggrin2:

Primarily shortstop. Also second and third and toes rubber some.

I have to be on edge of seat because HS coach has me keeping book. Think it is so I will quit coaching boys from stands. ;;D

When he got 4th hit we figured he wouldn't come up again. Got to plate with one out in 7th and ripped one to left center.

Cost me a trip to Wendys.

Testing, testing, testing. Then a few glasses of wine before and while cooking dinner (risotto). Now I'm listening to Motown Pandora and trying to resist having another glass. I'm beat.

Tomorrow is my advisement meeting to set my schedule for the summer term. Serious question: Am I foolish to do this at almost 51? Will schools (besides the one I'm at now) think I'm too old to be starting out? I've never had a job before where I feel like I GET to go to work rather than I HAVE to go to work. Still, I hate to waste money or time if this is a silly idea...

NOT foolish... it is the perfect fit for you. Possibly you wouldn't have been as ready as you are now in your earlier life when you had a ton more (family) worries on your mind?

I’m gonna say NO pretty loudly. Students need someone like you who loves them unabashedly, and who is smart and has life experiences to share with them. I think your age is an advantage for that reason. An older, wise teacher who’s fresh and not burned out, adds so much to children’s educations.

Worked.

Sat through mind numbingly bureaucratic meeting about how storing the same information in 3 different locations doesn’t make any more work for me and my team....

Dealt with a finger pointing client trying to blame me for something that I was not the cause of.

Had to deal with the fallout of a new client’s product being set up incorrectly by the support team.

Fun times!

No way is this a silly idea-- It is your path, your time. You have so much to give. Share it, you are the bridge for your students-- guide them. It is a work you love, and loved work is not work.

Almost 51 is not too late to start something new. If it's a job you will look forward going to, then consider yourself very lucky! Sounds great :)

Go for it! It sounds like you genuinely enjoy what you do and that is never something to overlook. Many people travel more than one path over the course of their career these days.
