Having the worst day at work. The lady who is my biggest migraine trigger (you seriously can't even imagine how strong her perfume is) was standing at my desk this morning when I go here and she lingers for HOURS after she's left an area. I've taken meds that haven't done much other than make it harder for me to concentrate and I'm now hiding in an empty office with the door closed and lights out just trying to make it through until my client meeting this afternoon. All I really want to do is curl up in a ball and die right now though.

Luckily, HR has FINALLY agreed to talk to her about toning it down and not wearing fragrance when she has occasion to be near my desk. It has only taken me being sick every time we are in the office together for the past year and a half for them to finally get around to it.

(((Baby Blue))) I hope that they can work this out. I am sensitive to smells, but not as severe as getting migrianes. It's been my bad experience that the folks who are most offensive smelling, don't understand and don't want to change. Sending good wishes your way!

Visited my mother in hospital. She slipped & fell on Mother's Day, a couple of weeks ago, and ended up with two fractured wrists! She's ok but with both arms in plaster they thought it best to stay in hospital. Have to say she's being well looked after. Had to peel some oranges for her today lol

Wow!!! Healing vibes for your mom. Our U.S. Mother's day isn't until May. You can celebrate with her again then, hopefully all healed up!

That's been my experience, as well. I've even met people who get migraines but don't have scent triggers who wear terribly strong perfumes and colognes. Those people are the worst in my book. They know how debilitating migraines are and know that what they are wearing causes migraines in others but just don't care because it isn't their problem. It's such a narcissistic attitude. I just don't understand how anyone can be that callous.
