No (although he spent 15 years in the British Army) - he is a chef and works in Baker Lake Nunavut. He was just home for a medical appointment and to be interviewed by his new employer. The lodge he works at has been bought by a company called the Arctic Cooperative.

I was supposed to be getting groceries. I passed by a women's fine clothing store. I saw a cute teddy bear pendant hanging from a mannequin's neck so I bought it. I really should've have, but I did it anyway. I'm trying to stop spending money on stuff I don't need, but sometimes I just can't help it. It looked like this:

I see my official hospice nurse today. I got my meds yesterday from them. Sent by fedex.
Karen insisted I get the hospital bed, so I did. Got it Monday. It has an air mattress on it which is quite nice. I also got a walker, because they don't want me falling.

She also ordered oxygen for me. That might be here tomorrow, I'm not sure.
She said my vitals are good.
We talked for quite a while.
Next week, I will have someone else to come in, and give me a shower, and back rub, and all that stuff. This is just to get used to each other.
I can still shower by myself, but I feel like it is a struggle.
Tomorrow, I have a social worker coming to see me. Karen wants to talk to her about a living will for me. I don't know what all they talk to me about though.
I got in touch with 2 of my brothers last night. We all have not spoken to each other in over 20 years. They were glad to hear from me.
One brother refuses to talk with me, and the other, I could not reach. I will keep trying though.

...I’m glad to hear all of this about your arrangements and feel that a Living Will and Power of Attorney for both you and your health care are a must...if you don’t understand something, have them go over it until you do...this is important so that your wishes are not misconstrued...

My nurse told me that I will die with hardly any pain. That was good to hear. She is getting me some patches for my back when I have days that it is unbearable.

Tonight was Senior awards night for my youngest.

Little dude stood up so much to get awards I thought he was going to get gaulded.

His momma did something right raising him.

Played three sports for four years, top 20 senior, has been number one in class for first three years (waiting on exams to see if he is valedictorian)

Oh and made all county baseball team. Both were in same edition of local paper. Only had to buy for that day.
