Thursday November 3rd, 1994. Got to see Nine Inch Nails in Tulsa, OK at the Expo Center. One of the haziest, but greatest nights of my life. Best concert I've ever been to, hands down. I think the statute of limitations should be expired on everything that occurred that night but I'm not completely sure...lol
ZZ Top and Jeff Healey in Little Rock, AR in 1988. Mad Dog 20/20 and myself danced and it won, readily and thoroughly.
June 3rd, 1995 Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at Sandstone Ampitheater, Bonner Springs, KS. First concert I attended with my, at the time, girlfriend who eventually became my wife, now ex-wife. There were eight of us, 4 couples, and we took three vehicles, rented hotel rooms for the weekend, cooked out on the grills at the hotel in this common area outside and we just all had a very cool weekend. The concert was amazing and we sat out till damn near daylight afterwards back at the hotel just talking and smoking a bunch of cigarettes.......dammit now I want cigarrette...I HATE being a non-smoker some days.....ok, most days.....ok all days...
Cypress Hill in Dallas, TX. I can't remember what year or much else about that concert..lol, just that the first thing the lead singer did was fire up a joint the minute he took stage. It had to be somewhere between 1994 and 1997?
Firehouse, Tesla, and Trixter in Fort Smith, AR 1989-ish.
Almost forgot, Ozzy Osbourne in Lampe, MO in 1992. Opening acts were Blind Melon and Alice in Chains (my favorite band of all time). Blind Melon cancelled so Alice in Chains went on earlier than expected. My dumb ass roommate at the time got home late from work, so as we're running into the concert, we hear Alice in Chain's encore "Man in the Box". I was pissed to the point of almost strangling my roommate. I like Ozzy and he was awesome but I'd wanted to see Alice in Chains more than anything.
