I have this book in my TBR pile. I think I started reading American Gods, couldn't get into it, so never read Neverwhere.
Whoa - American Gods I can see being slightly inaccessible but Neverwhere is truly magical.

Excellent idea, Danie!
I haven't read I Am Legend, but I did love the movie.
I have Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and Middlesex in my pile to TBR. I'd like some opinions. Saw them at the thrift store and bought because they've been bestsellers, but I know that doesn't really speak for the quality of the book.
That is one,I have wanted to read.
Speaking of Dracula.... I have a book on my TBR-pile called Anno Dracula by Tim Newman. Taking place in 1888 where Queen Victoria has just remarried. Her spouse is Count Dracula. It is a kind of mix between Gothic hooror, alternative world and political intrigues with some romance thrown in to spice it up. There is also a murderer stalking the alleys of whitechapel but he is called The Silver Knife. I guess it is the alternate worlds versaion of Jack the Ripper. Anyone of you read it? Just sniffed it so cant say if its good or bad but i do think it sounds interesting.
I will dig it out for you then, Mate.Whoa - American Gods I can see being slightly inaccessible but Neverwhere is truly magical.
I tried reading this one but the politics side of it made me give up. I may have read about half - don't ask me how I made it that far, I was probably hoping something more interesting would happen. It didn't. Too much politics, not enough of the rest. I would read anything about Dracula and loved Stoker's novel but this...nah.

If it's meant to be endearing, it means friend or mate. Otherwise ...I can't tell if you're being nice or calling me names!

I knew Maskins was being friendly, but was showing my ignorance of England's vocabulary as kind of an inside joke.I believe that to be a compliment!

I loved all three Pines books. Let me know what you think when you're finished, doowopgirl.Finished the first Waward Pines book and loved the different direction it took to the TV series. Currently reading the second one in the series. I plan on rereading Revival and have been tempted to reread The Stand, so I think I'll give in to temptation.
