Hola!

Have any plans for this weekend?

My family and in-laws are going to barbeque. Brisket, ribs and sausage. Side dishes-Spanish rice, pinto beans and potato salad. (Of course, flour tortillas and hot salsa!)

Easter egg hunt and cascarones. Yay!

Cascarones

(BTW-you squish the cascarones in your fist and THEN pour the confetti over your victims head. DO NOT smash the cascarones on your victims head! Ha!) (Glitter cascarones will send you to he11)

Peace.

In some weird once-a-year biological phenomenon that has apparently escaped the eyes of the scientific world, a magical rabbit will run through our yard, shooting colored eggs out its @$$ in spots that are hidden to greater or lesser extents, and then children will attempt to find them (the eggs). What they don't find, perhaps a passing raccoon or a lawnmower will.

Then we'll gather either around the slow cooker or the grill, the patriarch will make some hopefully yummy food and bring out pastel Jell-O shots for the adults, everyone will add their contributions that they brought over, and we'll engage in raucous conversation that usually goes well, sometimes less well, but always in love.

Dyeing eggs Friday, going to the zoo with my sisters' families on Saturday, lunch at another sister's house, and dinner at yet another sister's house on Sunday. I can't wait to see my family members who are visiting from far away places!

Way cool!

(Have you not been on the board lately or did I miss your posts?)

(Hugs to your girls!)

Peace.

Sir, love your girls videos. Have you thought about branching out to different cultures candies?

Maundy Thursday service always. Good Friday service rarely. Sunday morning service always. I am singing in the choir and playing hand drum. Decorating graves definitely (I bring flower containers and change from winter to spring decorations). PBS is running a series on cancer; I won't watch it. If not for cancer, three of the four main graves would not be there! There are a few other graves I keep an eye on and one I periodically take care of.

Going to go visit my folks tomorrow (Good Friday) afternoon, exchange eggs and have a good catch up. My eldest son has come home for the weekend, it is his 21st birthday on Saturday, so we're going out for dinner that night.
On Sunday Easter Bunny will visit during the night and much chocolate will be had by all. (Great-grandparent visits will be on Sunday too.)

:smile2: On Thursday I'm going to bury a dead bunny and a dead prophet in the pet cemetary, and wait to see which will resurrect first and return to me as a zombie.

I'm actually
going to shut myself in my room to avoid irritating family members and holiday festivities.

I love those so much! The first time I had them was when we lived in Japan--they were called 'seymores' there, no idea why. Now I get them at our local Mexican market. The candies with chili are delicious, too, but not so much the tamarind candies :)barf:) :)

I and Juho don't have any big plans for this weekend. My mom asked that I and Juho is coming for dinner tomorrow. But I guess we just take it easy and enjoy these two days off. We both return to work on Sunday. This Easter is gonna be special for me, it's our first Easter
together.
