Family and friends over as usual. Saturday is getting ready day. Sunday we’ll start off with a veggie tray, spam salad, and bacon wrapped scallops as appetizers. Then for dinner it’s a ham, two turkeys (one hot), lasagna, with plenty of fixins. Desert will be fruit salad and pies. Then its baskets and an Easter egg hunt for the young ones. Afterward it’s pool, karaoke, stories that have been told a hundred times at the bar, sports on one TV and an epic bible movie on the other.

If I wear one of these disguises , your family wont suspect anything out of the ordinary is going on.

I am cooking for us at home. The 7 of us and possibly our friend Jay. Brown sugar glazed ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, cheesy green beans, corn, pasta salad and orange junk (cottage cheese, mandarin oranges, dry orange jello mix and whipped cream...my brother called it orange junk when we were little and the name stuck, ;-D) and pie for dessert.

Will make the pasta salad and orange junk and pie on Saturday, the rest Sunday.

Hope you all have a great holiday, enjoy the time with family and friends!

Saturday- Midnight screening of a 35mm print of Blade Runner at the Coolidge Corner Theater in Boston.

Sunday- Going to my Moms for Honey Baked Ham Goodness

We are also celebrating my niece's 17th birthday a bit early (boy I feel old now as she's my little brothers daughter:() because we won't see her on her actual birthday on the 11th.

What I'm really looking forward to are the very cherry jelly-belly jelly beans! How I love those little red candies. It's like crack for me!! ;;D

That's it. I'm coming to your house. :)

Edit: My husband (former chef): "Oh my god. Heaven. Ask if he needs us to bring anything." LOL

Going to go visit my folks tomorrow (Good Friday) afternoon, exchange eggs and have a good catch up. My eldest son has come home for the weekend, it is his 21st birthday on Saturday, so we're going out for dinner that night.
On Sunday Easter Bunny will visit during the night and much chocolate will be had by all. (Great-grandparent visits will be on Sunday too.)

Chocolate? Did someone say chocolate?? :D
