Prayers for all those along the gulf coast and especially Florida as this system approaches. May all be safe. Prayers for all who are dealing with any aspect of Mother Nature-- floods, tornadoes, tropical issues, extreme heat. Remember to keep your critters safe. All in need or not, and those who suffer in silence.

Thankful prayers for all that is heard and given.

Thank you all for the support and kind words. It has been a really exhausting few days. Lots of ups and downs. Every time I thought I knew what was happening and would start to post an update, something would change. To make a long story short, he does have some cancer spots in his back (T5), liver, and 2 small spots in his cerebellum. They plan to do an oral chemo and continue radiation on the spine soon.

On Friday, when I got there, he could sit up on the side of the bed, but was very weak. By Saturday morning, he could not move his legs at all. After many scans and moving him to another hospital that has a neuro-surgeon on staff, they confirmed that there was a fracture in the T5 vertebra that was causing swelling on his spinal column. We thought for a while that he might be paralyzed (they even mentioned Gillian-Barre`) but after performing surgery removing the fracture, we are seeing some improvement. PT had him sitting up on the side of the bed today and lifting his legs one inch. Lots of PT and treatments ahead, but we are still hopeful. Prayers do work and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. ((((SKMB))))

Tet, I am asking for prayers for my dad and family. His cancer has returned and appears to be spreading rapidly. He was admitted into the hospital on Tuesday to get pain meds to ease the excruciating pain he was having. After an MRI, they determined there was a growth on his spine that had not appeared in a scan from 2 weeks earlier. He is getting 10 days of radiation to try and shrink that area to allow him to walk and be in less pain. I am heading home to be with him and my mom until his sisters can come next week. I may be on now and then for some comic relief. Thanks, friends.
Saying a prayer that the radiation helps alleviate his symptoms do1you9love?
