Survivor - Milla Jovovich tries to avoid being bumped off by Pierce Brosnan in unexceptional suspense thriller

Spy - Melissa McCarthy in amusing role reversal spy comedy, married by industrial quantities of unnecessary profanity

Jurassic World - very enjoyable franchise extender, with (for once) excellent 3D

Begin Again ~ Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo.
Likable performances by both actors...the movie is all about the music industry, and the music in the movie is good.
Adam Levine turns in a kind of weird performance to me, in that he just sounds like he's judging on The Voice while trying to act...

I Am Legend (2007) Will Smith

This movie differs significantly from the novel. For one thing, the movie is more of an action story than the novel. Also, most of the story has been changed. But what the movie did keep was the feeling of extreme loneliness that the novel has and I think that loneliness was the main theme of the novel. So, even though the story is very different in the movie, the movie kept the important part and I think it works as an adaptation. The movie is very tense and a lot of fun and Will Smith is fantastic. The title of the movie should have been changed because it does not have the meaning in the movie that it does in the novel. Overall, I thought the movie was very good.

The Face Of Love with Annette Bening and Ed Harris.
A love story, very simply told. Love Bening and Harris; their acting seems as if they're not acting which makes the story all the more poignant.
Robin Williams has a small role--very sad to watch him.

Kill The Messenger (2014)

Based on the book Dark Alliance and based a true story, this is the story of journalist Gary Webb and his reporting of an explosive story involving the CIA using drug money to help fund the Contras. The story was huge news when it broke and then Webb claims he was the victim of a massive smear campaign. This is similar to the movie "Insider" and shows what can happen when David takes on Goliath.

I thought the movie was excellent but if you watch this, keep in mind that this story is being told from one side only.

Nightcrawler (2014 Streaming now on Netflix.)

I liked it very much but ...
it's disturbing.

When Louis Bloom, a driven man desperate for work, muscles into the world of L.A. crime journalism, he blurs the line between observer and participant to become the star of his own story. Aiding him in his effort is Nina, a TV-news veteran.

Top Five (2015) Chris Rock, Rosario Dawson

A comedy with a serious side to it. Chris Rock plays a comedian that is a recovering alcoholic and is a bit lost with his career. His movies are bombing because he has strayed from comedy and is doing more serious roles. There was a Woody Allen movie I saw once where people kept coming up to the Woody character and saying, "We really like your movies...especially the early funny ones." This movie reminds me of those scenes from the Woody Allen movie. Even though there is a serious side to this movie, it's still very funny. There are many comedians that have small roles in this movie. Jerry Seinfeld has a scene in this movie and he's hilarious. I thought the movie was very good but it is probably different than what most people would expect from Chris Rock.

(Have you seen In the Cut? A must for Ruffalo fans.)

6 Souls. Horror. I only caught the last 30min or so but it looked pretty creepy. Julianne Moore with some actors I've never seen before, that I know of.

I have not seen In The Cut - will keep an eye out for it.

Tried to watch American Psycho last night, but, was too tired. But WOW Christian Bale!

I saw that one. It's good, touching and interesting. I love Harris and Bening, and of course Robin.
