Tom's appearance on SNL was the first time I ever saw him and I was like 'Who IS that?' I was entranced by his looks, but he was an awful actor- he read those cue cards the entire time he was on screen.......but then again most of the newer members of SNL seem to rely on the cue cards instead of learning lines- I guess it's just too hard for them to learn a line and be funny at the same time anymore......

May Tom Brady (and his flat balls) be driven from this earth by rabid, foaming hellhounds. Same goes for the rest of his team, and that bum Belichick.

Sorry. Colts fan, here.

The question to me is why did the officials allow the game to proceed when beforehand they all knew that the footballs were under-unflated unless it was in order to allow Brady to be framed?

Don't know, don't care. Just HATE the pats, always have, always will. It's programed into my head.

Funny, when I saw the Stones down in Indy, Mick--knowing exactly where he was--made the crack, "I was gonna ask Tom Brady to come up and sing one with us..."

It was a good thing he was joking, otherwise he would've had Altamont II on his hands.

Some people never change. Him, I mean.

Watched Welcome To Me on Netflix. I love Kristen Wiig - she is so quirky and wacky. I should like some of these obscure movies she's been in lately more than I actually do. This one was about mental illness and I'm conflicted about it. Joan Cusack was in it though, and I truly adore her!
She is a very underrated actress! I love her sense of humor!

Man of Steel (again). LilMan wanted to check this one out again, so we watched it. I liked it better than the two other times I tried to watch it (I fell asleep both times), but I still don't think Henry Cavill is much of an actor (though he is pretty). Amy Adams gives me a pain, too, but I did like the secondary cast quite a bit. So many plot holes, though... *smdh*

Man, I did not like this movie. Was so disappointed by it. Love Amy Adams, but she was miscast as Lois Lane, I thought. I thought she had Cavill had no chemistry...

I've seen only two Wiig movies so far, but I really liked he in Walter Mitty.

The Yakuza. It has been literally decades since I've seen it, but there had been talk about it here, and serendipitously, it was on TCM tonight while I'm away on duty but with satellite. So I had to watch it. Great movie. It does have a sprinkling of '70s cheese in it, but just a real good story, lovely mood.

In your mirror.
Happy Endings (Lisa Kudrow, Steve Coogan, Maggie Gyllenhaal )

Happy Endings weaves multiple stories to create a witty look at love, family and the sheer unpredictability of life itself.

I really enjoyed this 2 hour+ Indie movie. Hooked up some friends with it, too.

Almost Mercy

Jackson and Emily aren't like the other kids. Two burgeoning sociopaths on the brink of total meltdown. Ticking time bombs seeking revenge. Who will unravel first?

IMDb gave it a 6.1 and I don't know what to think. :)

If it's supposed to be campy, quirky, bloody, cheesy and over the top...it's pretty cool.

Max - very good family film about dog trained to help Marines.
Pixels - essentially Ghostbusters with arcade game characters instead of ghosts. Sandler does likeable, not obnoxious, in this one. Good fun.
The Gift - Very good thriller, first effort writing and directing from Joel Edgerton. Trailer misleads nicely.

Watched a movie last night as a throw away "stick something on in the background" but after only 5 minutes i was absolutely glued to the set. Its called '71 and tells the story of a young soldiers first day in Northern Ireland during the horrors of 1971 IRA/ dodgy undercover military/UDA all with great hair and thick moustaches .
