O. Henry's Full House (1952). John Steinbeck plays Crypt-Keeper to a host of tales by the king of twist-endings, the titular housekeeper aforementioned. They show this'n alla time, and I usually end up watching. Love Richard Widmark in this, in the The Clarion Call segment. He does the snot-nosed gangster punk so well. The only time I like him is when he's bad. The Cop and the Anthem shows what a bada$$ Charles Laughton was. Marilyn Monroe gets about a minute and a half of screentime, but is worth every penny. Five different directors take a stab in this mess, and it ain't bad.
I lost power twice today and was distracted by resetting clocks that I forgot to record this one. I hope it comes on again soon.
His closest analogue is John Irving--same sensibility in storytelling. My favorite of his is Fantastic Mr. Fox

I'm intrigued with his creative mind and his proclivity for using many moving parts a la Rube Goldberg. Many times the camera is partially on the "action/subject" and allowing other characters (even irrelevant characters) to be viewed. Like a child viewing an ant farm, to me, Anderson's storytelling technique is very similar.
Killing Cars starring Jurgen Prochnow. Has a cameo with William Conrad.
Hard Times (1975) Charles Bronson, James Colburn
An enjoyable flick. Charles Bronson plays a character that does illegal street fighting during the depression. Colburn plays his manager. Charles Bronson is very good in this and Colburn plays the shady manager brilliantly. Charles Bronson is in incredible shape in this movie considering that he was 54 in 1975. I'm 54, so I have some idea of how difficult it would be to be in that great of shape at 54 (freaking impossible). I was impressed.

Goosebumps-Cute kids' movie, with some young talent to watch. Jack Black is a terrible actor (lol), but he's funny. I liked the cameo by the real R.L. Stine, and the joke about Mr. King made me giggle

The warden don't stand as good as he used to.
If anyone sees that this is coming on, please let me know. This is a dumb movie but campy and hysterical too.

Watched Maximum Overdrive yesterday because I truck I saw made me think of that evil green clown face.
Finally watched Deadpool. Got the Blu-Ray. I can see why it was rated R, but I laughed a lot. The gag reel was great, too. I give it a 4.3 out of 5
