Sinbad--Early-ish Dreamworks animated film. I took the older kids to see it when it first came out, but that was ages ago. This time with The Kid, and I remembered absolutely nothing about it. It was okay. I need to find some 3-D glasses so we can watch the 2nd and 3rd Black Lagoon pics. That's what he really wanted to watch, but they're both strictly in 3-D. Five minutes into the 2nd movie without the glasses and the blue/red registration had my head thwanging. Maybe next week (if Amazon delivers fast :D ).

The Creature Walks Among Us (third gillman movie) was not filmed in 3D. By then the fad had passed. Unless yer talkin about some new fangled version I ain't heard of. Just sayin.

Spring Break (1983)

The movie isn't good but I enjoyed it to a certain extent because it was fun to reminisce about the Fort Lauderdale that used to be. This movie was released in 1983 and a couple of years later, Fort Lauderdale hired some fun police and did away with spring break there. I recognized several places I used to go to that aren't there anymore. The old spring break area has been replaced with high rise condos (Florida's version of The Walking Dead ;-D). There used to be these small ma and pa motels on the beach that were cheap to stay in and was a lot like the ma and pa motel in the movie. Daytona had a bunch of these too. Daytona still has spring break but the ma and pa's have been replaced with corporate motels. Of course, no one older than a college student would want to stay in one of those ma and pa's ;-D but they had a certain charm. It was fun to see all of that old stuff.

That movie used to really make me laugh! I haven't seen it in years, but I quote stuff from it. :)

Hmm. I looked them both up on YouTube, and both were in 3-D. Maybe I can find a non 3-D edition. Thanks!

I checked em out, far as I know part 3 was 2D. So...just you and lil man take yer glasses off at that point. Anyhoo, that last one is depressing, anyway, Because:

The scientists remove all underwater breathing organs--why? Beats me, must've been late 50s conformity. Poor gillman. They shoulda just left em alone

Triple-crown winner, hey? From the late 70s. We watched Hitched...or is it Hitch? Ooooh...what's his name was the lead. Black guy. Can't think of his name now. Will? Will Smith? That sound right? Great actor. I'm not sure if that is his name...I liked when he dropped the alien in whatever it was...Independence Day? Did that happen? I think he was in that one too, bout the story, last man on earth. Forget the title of that one. Don't believe I saw it, in fact. But I heard it was a good flick. Hitch or Hitched is a good flick...guy helps out poor losers get the woman of their dream? Walk like an Egyptian, he tells them. Naw. Just kidding. Cute movie. Feel good. Fun. Happy times. Some klunky lines....like the proverbial "bad guy"...Will and him are meeting...bad guy says a dorky line. It made the point and yeah, it happens. I think The Sting was popular around the time of Secretariat...maybe a few years before. Now I have that jingle running through my mind. You're safe. :)
