Rat, I note that you haven't mentioned anything she's said or written which you've heard or read. I do NOT presume about you, I know.

Ah hell, I don't keep any of her quotes on my brain's list of 'best of's, no. But her damn column runs in dang near every newspaper around here, so I've read my share. She's a total 'our side/their side' idiot. Not to mention media scum. My reasons for hating such people aren't what you think--cease trying to generalize or classify me, simply because I gave an opinion that runs counter to yours.

I mean, what the frack? Is Coulter your sister or something?

Thats really not showing that its a good book, only that its a popular one. I have read number ones that i found thrashworthy.
True that. But there is only one way to know for sure. Is she banned in Sweden? And is it true is there is no such thing as birthright citizenship in Sweden, and children of legal immigrants cannot become Swedish citizens simply by being born there? That at least one parent must be a citizen for birth on Swedish soil to confer citizenship?

Since you've read her pieces then you know she has no problem boiling republicans in oil and eating them for dinner, also.

Blunty, I don't presume to know anything going on with you, but, by comments you've made, you are ignoring a lot of threads and a lot of people. Are you having ANY fun here? Makes me a little sad because I don't think you like it here anymore.

No, its just that i'm not reading much political stuff. But very few of books that deal with explicit plitical stuff gets translated. You could probably find her in some special store. It is true thats just because you are born in swden does not make you a citizen of sweden. Mostly people that come from war areas, like serbia and croatia in the 90-ties, come here and if they stay they get what is s known as residence permit. They can apply for citizenship and if they live here it is mostly granted. Their children do have a double citizenship. Swedish and serbian or whatever. What is demanded is that you shall have lived here for five years before you can apply to be a citizen. The parents often does not want to change their citizenship but their childsren often want to since they grown up here. Then it is no problem but they they have to actively want to be a citizen but the process is quick. And you can of course be a citizen of two countries. If one parent has swedish citenship and the other serbian the child gets both.

Dear mods,
King's interview shouldn't have developed into a hot topic. Well, this one anyway. Since I started this mess, could you move all comments related to Coulter to Hot Topics - Everything Else under my username. And give it the heading of something like: Ann Coulter - Goddess & Author? :)

...nice interview, and I always find it fascinating how well read he is....in my mind's eye, he whacks away at a word processor all day...no time for pleasure reading, though I know he maintains a schedule of sorts...just another facet of his character I found illuminating...
I thought the same thing! I've checked out several authors based on recommendation from King. Hasn't steered me wrong yet.

I had never heard of Don Robertson before this. I might look him up. But i was strangely pleased that he felt the same about Lindqvist and Larsson as i. He likes Larsson, wooden prose and all. Exactly how i feel. And Lindqvist is great. And now i know i have read a book that King hasn't!! I actually have read two Jane Austen.
Hi, Kurben! Steve mentioned Robertson way back in an interview in the 80's and I went out and found one of his books and devoured it! King said that when he was 14 or 15 he was reading one of Robertson's novels that takes place during the Civil War and one of the characters was playing a banjo and Robertson used the word 'plink' to describe its sound and Steve said he had an epiphany right then and there and realized that that was exactly the right word to use! Steve even used his own Philtrum Press to publish one of Don's best novels- The Ideal Genuine Man. I lived right where the book takes place and Robertson's got everything right about the area and its peoples. Steve mentions in the article 'Miss Margaret Ridpath And The Dismantling Of The Universe'. This novel features one very creepy pair of killers and one tough female protoganist.
