Have not seen the movie yet.BUT I did see a bag of apples at the grocery store yesterday.The bag was STAR WARS themed! Poor husband....I stopped dead in my tracks and said kind of loudly," OH MY GOD! I can't even!" Disney-BOO HISSSSSSSS
Watched it this morning! Can't wait to see it again!
We did have something funny happen in line though. Another dad was there bringing his son and the dad had seen it Thursday night. He asked my daughter if she wanted a spoiler and she said adamently, "NO!" Then this guy said...
We laughed and my daughter said she would use that one, too.
All in all, I have been pleased with the restraint of folks. Hope you enjoy your viewing when you get there! You will!

Thanks for the report! I am greatly heartened by the response to it, both critical and popular. I expected some noxious critiques from the professional viewers, but for the most part, they've been supportive. I was pretty much looking forward to seeing the movie, but now I'm really looking forward to it.
We took our eldest child to Star Wars when he was in his first year of life. Of course, he couldn't grasp the dialogue, but he was enraptured by the visuals and stayed quiet the whole time. Now we're planning to "come home again" and take him to this new one - 38 years later.
I won 2 tickets, but gave them to my brother for his birthday. We'll try to see it as a family sometime between Christmas Day and New Years. I'm excited--he said it was pretty damn wonderful.
I'm taking my Mom on Christmas day......
