Can't wait to see it! The best thing is that even if it doesn't turn out like the picture it will still taste good right? :biggrin2:
What I like is that it's leopard print, so it can come out almost any old way and still be okay. I only have one cake pan, so the other two are going to happen tomorrow, when I have two more pans - Tall Guy's going to get 'em for me, first thing. That way, I can put both pans together, spots and all, and put 'em both in the oven. Then when they're cool, I'll frost 'em and try that spotted look on the outside, too.
My daughter works tomorrow, so I'm going to cut her a huge slab and take it to her at work. That's when I'll get a look at the inside.

I gotta tell ya, the prep time is extensive. Mixing the cake batter in the first place, separating the batter into different parts for the different colors, mixing them up, six in total - five colors and the black - stuff 'em into piping bags. 8 in total. The colors and the remaining batter, to pipe over the top when the lines are done. THEN putting it together goes super quick.

I'll probably do it again if it isn't a total disaster.

That's dedication.

((Skimom)) Is there a rain date? If not, then I suggest ice cream!
Nope. It's usually safe to schedule stuff in August here, as we're usually bone-dry until October at the earliest, but not this year. Their director should have had a back-up plan for rain, but even so DD will get another chance to do her part in Macbeth on Wed and Fri and her part in Twelfth Night T, Th, S. The DramaLlama loves 16 year old girls--lol.

Thank you, Spidey! And I guess, since I am Commander of all Rain, I owe you an apology ;) How are your critters holding up?

Doing OK. Only two strays that stay outside and both are dry and well. They have a nice tarp tent on the front porch with two full size dog houses, fleeces, kitty toys. Just ck'd on them and all is well.
House cats just snore. All good without thunder.
Me- cabin fever. Doing crafts and reading. They say maybe sun late tomorrow. Is that the bright light in the sky????
Have to watch for falling trees, ground saturated and sink holes.
