Wow I ain't been in here for a while.
Hey isn't, or wasn't there somebody on the board that was, or is, into Barbies.
I found this one in a junktique store, now I don't know a damn thing about Barbie dolls, but I have seen some collections, and don't recall ever seeing this one, I mean it kinda stands out.
So if there is someone that is into collecting them, I can hook you up with this one at what I think is a probably a steal, I'm not promotin' nothin' just seemed to recall someone was into them, I mean I got nothin' better to do.
This joint Moore 4 Less has 20 ducats on it, but maybe old Barbies ain't worth nothin' I dunno, not my thing, anyway...

Yeay! It's Friday! Kiddo is off on Monday so I am taking off too! Hooray for long weekends!

We have our Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend and I just cannot get enthused about buying a turkey. It is so much work for the end result and then I get stuck with way too many leftovers.

Perhaps I will "think outside the box" this year.

Neesy, when I was first married, young and broke, I made turkey meatloaf and all the fixings. It was really good and not too many leftovers.

Completely forgot that I have a book signing tomorrow. Thank god the organizer called to confirm and I got my books ordered for a Reader's Luncheon in November (I'll worry about books for that one after Saturday, I guess--lol), but I have no 'gimmes'--out of bookmarks, pens, etc. Any ideas? They're an expected thing around here. One book has a beach theme, the other...maybe drinks? Wineglass charms? I'll be doing The Spinning Dance for the rest of the day, trying to figure all this out on top of my normal Friday stuff.

One hint for those who hope to go with a small publisher: marketing does very little. Be prepared to do just about everything yourself. I got my books ordered, but that's about it. "It's a cash and carry world," as someone wise once said

Do you guys have Dollar Tree stores nearby? Hit them and find some beachy stuff and maybe shotglasses, etc. in bulk.
