I just got up and had the strangest dreams this morning while sleeping in. I dreamed I ate bacon! (I have not had any pork now for at least four or five months).

Yeah - just the same old, same old - get up, go to work, come back home etc.

I did make some Butterscotch Coconut Squares and I put a nice icing on top with little orange and yellow stars (sprinkles)...

Help yourself!

p.s. I had no walnuts so I substituted slivered almonds (yummy!)

I just realized now that I suppose pink stars would have been better (like Under the Dome in the TV series) but I honestly do not recall any pink stars in the book :question_pig::m_pan::chew:

Today is Terry Fox Day here in Manitoba - I was hoping that mal might be on. I know AnnaMarie and staropeace may have also gotten the day off.

It is probably just a local holiday in Canada, not national.

Nottie is probably out shopping for her safety boots to wear at work when she gets the opportunity

Actually if she is a size six, I still have my old steel toed black boots from when I was in the military - she'll have to keep a spit shine on them, but that's easy to do.

It was great! Spent the mornings sewing and the afternoons reading. Didn't do a single other thing on my "to do" list but not feeling the least bit guilty about it.

Discovered this morning when I went to turn off my vacation auto-responder for my email I'd set up before I left that I'd forgotten to click the box to actually send it out. :facepalm: As a result, I've got a few more emails than I would have otherwise. :smile:
