OK......so the doctor said that the infection is gone for the most part, but I still have lots of swelling and pressure in my ears and sinuses. I have another round of low dosage steroids, a high dosage of allergy medicine, and a prescription nasal spray. He said if I'm not feeling a lot better in a couple of weeks, I'll be referred to an ENT specialist.
.....I've decided that if I'm not feeling better in a few weeks, but not feeling worse, that I'm gonna learn to live with it. I'm afraid of going to an ENT.

.......Now, I have to learn how to squirt nasal spray up my nose. Should be interesting.
Healing vibes being sent your way. May you feel better soon.

Happy Tuesday!!

Hope all have a good day, mine is almost over. Been a good day here, I was at work and after work I went to see my dogs. Later on the evening we celebrated my
partner Juho's birthday. He's officially turned 30 today. Weather has been sunny and warm.

Take good care and be well everyone!! Please stay safe!!

Home from Floorball. I actually played well today too!!! They actually remarked on how good i played. I must have been eating a lot of healthy burgers while i was in the states or something. Otherwise this good form is hard to explain.
And now for something completely different..........
Sunny, i must agree with mrs Mods advice. If this new dosage don't kill the infection don't "learn to live with it", fight it with any means available even if it means seeing a specialist. Just my 5 cents... I want a totally healthy Sunny on this board. Good luck!!

That is one nasty infection! Hope this round of meds does the trick but please don't "learn to live with it" if it doesn't. That can sometimes lead to much worse things happening and your body would be constantly trying to fight off even a low-grade infection which will put that much more stress on your immune system. OK.....I won't "learn to live with it"......but when they cut off my ears, will y'all pitch in and buy me some cool elfin ears, or maybe some Spock ears?
I did okay using the spray stuff for the first time. The allergy meds make me feel like I've taken a bunch of speed, and I talked everyone's ears off at work today (if you can imagine me more talkative than I already am).
The doc said it will take a day or two to notice any real improvement, so I'm waiting......and talking.....and cleaning......

...no, don't be scared!....it's that so many bacteria have become antibiotic resistant, it takes time to find the right "cocktail"....

Oh, I have a cocktail in mind........

One should not stay up later than one should with one's thoughts as their sole confidant. Because then one writes this:

-----

You raise your kids, and every day is an eternity in meeting the mechanics of life. You trudge on, working to meet your familial needs, and giving your children some occasional profound statements, like you wish you could all the time. But it turns out that most of your life is spent on the motions of trying to keep the roofs over your heads, food channeled down their gullets, and keeping the cave heated.

And then they're grown. And you wonder where the time went, because all the things you wanted to tell them, all the cool stuff you imagined you'd introduce them to, all the matters of body, mind, and spirit that you'd wanted to imbue them with, are so much detritus strewn behind you on the path of life. You've de-escalated your hopes of forming them into modern superheroes and settled for daring to think that they are productive citizens and will stay out of jail.

And you're left to wonder one thing.

Where did the time go?

----

Mental emesis over. Good night, friends.
This is something you could talk about with your grandchildren (God willing)

Under your bed
Heading back to doc tomorrow.

I've got an appointment in the morning at 8:15...... Woke up this morning with sore jaws, like I had been grinding my teeth all night....I don't grind my teeth, so it's part of the infection.

Maybe they'll put tubes in yer ears. They did that to me when I was little, and told me 'stay out of deep water.' Because I coulda drowned really easily, I guess. So, for years my mom wouldn't let me near the water. Hence, I never learned to swim.

There, I said it. Muskrat can't swim. Embarrassing, but there we are. I can keep my head above water for a bit, but that's about it.

I've tried learning. Lord, every girlfriend I've ever had tried teaching me...but its something you gotta learn young, or you can't get it down. At least, that's what I believe.

Of course, I've always had a phobia of water. When I was two I fell in a pond and was under for a very long time. Shoulda died. Almost did. S'why that Something To Tide You Over segment of Creepshow always terrified me.

Ahem. Got off on a digression there. Anyhoo, take care of those ears, sunny!

I learned when I was 12 - that is pretty late - maybe give it another shot? You just have to relax and learn how to float - good luck!

Legolas and i have an understanding, you see. He is really a very kind soul and since he is immortal a couple of ears are no big thing to him. He will put on new ears after a time and he is willing to endure the minor discomfort for Sunnys sake. I think Sunny would look real good in those ears, dont you?

Good Day to you, lovely people, how is everybody doing today?
I`m OK, can`t wait for winter to get here, I`m REALLY tired of the heat.
No friend of summer here, I want three feet of snow and temps around minus 15 C. :D
Happy Hump Day.
:)
