Applesauce is created thusly:
Deformed, enslaved Oompa-Loompas stand on both sides of miles of conveyor belts. Standing behind them, angry men with whips and bullhorns. At the Oompa-Loompas' feet sit crates and crates and crates of apples. When the buzzer sounds and the conveyor belt hums to life, you can almost miss hearing the clink of glass jars. And then, the angry men start cracking their whips. They shout into their bullhorns:
"CHEW! CHEW! CHEW! SPIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTT!"
I think my fear is justified.
Weekly Survey, July 13, 2015
1. Have you ever camped out in a tent? Describe. Yes, several times as a younger man. I prefer beds and indoor plumbing in my sunset years.
2. Can you swim? How did you learn? Just jumped into the river when my cousins did as a kid, they gave me a quick lesson, was swimming around after a few minutes.
3. Have you ever toured a famous person's home? Whose? No.
4. What SK character do you think would be enjoyable to chat with on the SKMB? Ted Brautigan.
5. If Stephen King were reading posts on this board incognito, what username do you think he'd choose? Bango Skank.
6. What type of physical characteristics are you most attracted to? (i.e., dark or light hair, redhead, eye color, dark- or
light-complexioned, etc.) I have a thing for blond hair. My prior two girlfriends before I got married were blondes and my wife has blond hair.
7. Did you ever pretend to be sick to get out of something like school, etc? Describe. I think I did a couple of times in high school.
8. If your dwelling were on fire, and you had time to grab one item (nonliving) before escaping, what would it be? My AR-15 rifles..lol I've put a lot of time, money, and range time in to get them both dialed in. I'd also grab my laptop if there was time.
9. Have you ever experienced a "life-changing" event? Tell us. Becoming a father definitely made me do a 180. I spent several months just contemplating how to be a dad and eleven years later I'm still trying to figure out how to try to be a better one everyday.
10. If you had the chance to do it all again, tell me, would you? Could you? There'd be a lot of changes, lots and lots of changes.

July 20-24: Weekly Survey
1. What’s something you know you spend too much time doing? Obsessing over money.
2. What was the most boring thing you did this past weekend? Grocery shopping.
3. What was the most exciting thing you did this past weekend? Bought a new scope for my rifle.
4. Do you play an instrument? If so, what do you play and how long have you been playing? I used to play the drums long ago, played them for about 5 years.
5. Other than SK, who is your favorite author? And what your favorite non-SK book? Tom Clancy. Red Storm Rising.
6. If you could only eat one kind of food for the rest of your life, what would you choose and why? Hard to beat a good roast beef sandwich with mayo and cheese.
7. Tattoos? How many? Where are they? What are they? Do they “mean” anything? No tats. If I'm approached by a non-medical needle, said possessor of needle should probably go ahead and stab me before I draw....
8. What are your hobbies? Reading, plinking with my rifles and handguns.
9. Are you afraid of anything embarrassing? Rabbits or daffodils, for example. I don't like cobwebs...I don't have any problems with spiders, but for some reason, I hate walking thru a cobweb.

I just find their name, and copyit then paste it in a post.
Another way is to type @ and then begin typing the persons name. A drop-down menu of names will appear and you just click on the one you want.
