Weekly Survey, 8/28/2016
1. Do you have a landline telephone in your residence?
Yep
2. Do you believe the importance of "being a gentleman" or "being a lady" has changed over time?
I think it's changed in personal importance, which is sad. It's still of universal importance, in the sense that being a lady or gentleman is about making things work smoothly and pleasantly as often as possible.
3. Do you maintain a "yard" or a "lawn" or do you reside where you must go out of your way to walk on grass?
Lawns galore
4. When looking for a parking spot, say in a large parking area or perhaps a parking garage, what criteria do you use or do you swing into the first available slot?
I like to be close to the doors, but any port in a storm is fine with me.
5. Have you ever dined at a table that had a red checkered tablecloth?
Yep
6. When it came time for your execution, if you can imagine you've been convicted of a heinous crime, do you think you would be able to walk to your death unassisted, or would they have to take you there screaming and kicking, perhaps under sedation?
I think I could walk
7. Say you're walking along the avenue, a fairly populated avenue, vehicle traffic, pedestrians, and you heard someone shout, "get down! get down!" would you look around to see who was being addressed, or would you get down?
Fleeting glance in the direction of the voice as I crouched, I imagine.
8. Have you ever participated in a rumble?
Gang fight, a'la The Outsiders? Nope. Personal fight? Yep
9. As a child, did you find the idea of an Easter Bunny somewhat hilarious...coming as it does after Christmas, or did you buy into the idea of the fabled rabbit and perhaps still hold dearly to that belief?
I loved all those magical things, and still do.
10. You're back on the avenue again, having dusted off your clothing, when you look in the distance and see a person running like the wind, a crowd chasing this person, an angry crowd. It is within your power to either stop the person or not to interfere. The person you imagine running, is it a male or a female? and what do you do? Stop? Or step back and watch?
My first visual image was a man running. I think I'd step back and try to figure out what was going on before I inserted myself where I might do more harm than good.
