After reading this article, I've made yet another list of gotta reads.
Katie is a keepah!Finished The Elementals by McDowell; it was quite a ride with some wonderful characters and the right amount of chills up/down spine. The library is holding A Head Full of Ghosts and Feed is travelling through the county so I think I'll start Katie by McDowell on my tab until I get the call.
YOU WORK IN A LIBRARY!!!????????? My dream job. Tidying up the fiction section.....sigh.I am currently reading The Accident by Linwood Barclay. A brilliant, hard-to-guess and pacy twister. This author is original, fun, I love his change in perspectives from first person to second to third in the same book. Lots of his works at the library I work at...!! I love tidying up the fiction section, even when it doesn't need it, having a quick read...lol.
Thank you so much for that link! Some suggestions by our favorite mysterious member:

Oh, you just don't know; it seems I missed his books in the '80s but now Valancourt is republishing them! I am telling everyone who will listen if they want to have the juice scared out of 'em, pick up one of this guy's books. Mr. King was so right about him!Hurray! Another McDowell convert!
I started A head Full of Ghosts yesterday. Not very far into it, but liking it so far.
Same here! kingricefan turned me on to them. I have read all the Blackwater books, Katie, The Elementals, Cold Moon Over Babylon and Gilded Needles and the first in another series of his, Jack and Susan in 1913. That one is lighthearted fluff, but fun. Not scary at all.Oh, you just don't know; it seems I missed his books in the '80s but now Valancourt is republishing them!
