More than 1,200 members of the Facebook group, Plainview Moms, formed a buying pool for Powerball tickets. On Jan. 12, 2016, the residents shared their hopes that one of their 6,000 games will be Wednesday's big winner. (Credit: Newsday / Chuck Fadely)

More than 1,000 people have joined a lottery pool in Plainview-Old Bethpage ahead of Wednesday night’s record-breaking Powerball drawing in an effort to increase their chances of hitting the big one.

You should have had that licorice yesterday ... You know she was telling me yesterday that you were full of %#&t :)
Gosh my wrist hurts today, must have been all that swiping of your credit cards. How are your wife's wrists?;)

You know she did get home late last night and was mumbling something about mineral ice and and a numb feeling in her fingers. In fact she kept on showing me one finger in particular that was bothering her, but I'm so used to seeing that one I didn't think anything of it.

In all honesty, if I did win, nobody would ever know about it. I'd hire a representative to front for me to avoid publicity. People that have something coming from me will get it, but anybody that hasn't been there for me when I'm broke need not apply. Plus, there have actually been lottery-related murders. And there's the risk of kidnap, all sorts of dangers.
Nah. I'd quietly collect, take care of my family, put together my farm and simply enjoy the rest of my life. Kids and grandkids will have trusts and futures. Friends and loved ones will likewise be taken care of. Me, I'll be on horseback.
So if I start posting pics of myself on gorgeous equines, you'll know.

Reminds me of Jayne from Firefly.

"Let me do the math... nothing into nothing... carry the nothing..."

Gawd, that was such a good show.

Jayne: "Hell, I'll kill a man in a fair fight... or if I think he's gonna start a fair fight, or if he bothers me, or if there's a woman, or if I'm gettin' paid - mostly only when I'm gettin' paid".

lol, Jayne and Mal were classics.
