No it doesn't start until next week. Normally my job allows me "sit and wait" time while I run algorithmic searches and other automated QC procedures. That's why I mostly post here during the week at work hours. Evenings and weekends are always busy for a man with 4 kids and a house to maintain. However, to get ready for me being gone for a week, I have to have a lot of meetings and do some stuff ahead of time before I go. That's why I will be a bit scarce this week. I head out Tuesday morning and come back the following Monday. Hot Tuna plays Thursday night of the Festival. They've done the acoustic version the last 3 years, so it'll be nice to hear the electric version again this year. Jorma is a great guitar player. I have a kazoo from Jack Casady's birthday party a couple years ago.
Would you let me know if they play Watch the North Wind Rise? One of my favorites.
How about I pull an Obama, similar to his We The People petition process? So start a petition to have me disappear, and if it gets enough support, I’ll review it and issue an official response (or perhaps just disappear).That's what I am saying... I am interested in you disappearing.

Did I ever tell the story of what, shortly after high school, a girl I knew did to a good friend of mine when he broke up with her? He had joined the Navy and about a year in he dumped her before going on secret maneuvers in a nuclear submarine. She decided to get even and baked him a big batch of brownies with laxatives. Well, he didn't eat them right away, and took them on his sub. He handed them out to all the crew. Things got so bad they had to surface, which I understand, ruined the maneuvers. She got a call from the submarine commander in the middle of a night asking what the guy did to her that was so terrible she would put the security of the country in jeopardy.
