Morgan, it is up on the boardwalk. Been there forever! It is just an amusement ride thingy. You get in a car that is on tracks, and ride through the scary stuff. It is just scary things that pop out at you as you are going along.
The only haunted place around here is an old church. They say if you try to take the bible off the alter, ghosts will make you ut it back down. It is said that there are dead people buried under the pews.

Thanks for the info! The first part of your post (the ride) reminded me of Joyland and the church brought back memories of Jerusalem's Lot from Night Shift! :O_O: ;-D

SutterKane, Karen said that the haunted house is still there. I've gone through that thing a lot, and it always scared me!

Cool. If I ever make it back out that way I'll have to go back just for the sentimental value.

I wish I would've known about the haunted house when I was there. Do you know the background story?

It's not a real haunted house (at least, I don't think so:ghostface:). It's like an Amusement park attraction. Been there since the 50's or 60's I think. There was almost a whole carnival on the boardwalk, not just that ride. I remember they had a roller coaster that I think was called "Tilt A Whirl" or something like that, and some other type of pirate themed ride. It's kind of like a kids place, even the haunted house as I remember it was nothing like the stuff they do at Busch Gardens for "Hall-o-Scream" or Universal with "Horror Nights". I remember it being a lot of fun though.

Oh, right, now I'm with you. I didn't think they made the Capri in the US.

I really can't remember the last time I saw a MK1 Capri. They must be as rare as hen's teeth these days.
I had a Ford Prefect (don't remember the year), back in the late '60's. One person could almost lift the engine out without a hoist.
Whenever I heard the character's name in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I remembered that car, and wondered if anyone here in America got the play on words.

HaHahahaha! Good one....
AHA! You're back! Woo hoo! :biggrin2:
(OoO is soooooooooooooo in trouble now.)

I'm not Lily. Really.
I'm a professional cat herder, kingmaker, and dreamer. I'm the one you come to when you need direction, organization, analysis, and sense of something. In other words, I'm a writer and a project manager, but the two are not mutually exclusive.
I live in Nashville for the moment, which is okay because I was reared and went to school here.
I've lived in Palo Alto, CA, Austin, TX, Munich, Bloomington, IN, Regensburg, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles.
I'll be migrating eastward soon.

Now, that is a car I definitely haven't seen in a very long time. There were a few still around when I was little kid, but the last one I saw belonged to a classic car enthusiast who was restoring it.

Hey - I did not see these before I posted mine - we must hang around the same Google sites, eh? :m_curious::shock:

(I think maybe Flake subconsciously baits us, then sits back to see what will happen!)

That is uncanny, y'all really have the same sort of quick wit I'm always in awe of.

Wrong day - right song! Did you know that Stephen King is actually one year younger than Cher?
