The one I had was either a 100E or 107E. That was many moons ago, and I don't think I have any pictures of the car. It got incredible gas mileage, about 40 M.P.G. combined. Back then, gas was only about 22-28 cents per gallon for regular, but I was only making around $1.60 per hour. Unfortunately, the car did not last long in the Michigan winters, possibly due to the poor ignition system. That was before I became more knowledgeable about cars. I had the same problem with a 1958 Mercedes 180. The coil (I later realized) would overheat and the car would gradually slow down, eventually turning off. Exact same problem with a new Fiat 128 station wagon, which I bought in Spain in 1973. It was white, like the one in the picture. It did very poorly in Michigan, after I brought it back, and I traded it in for a used full size 1970 Chevy, which I drove for many miles.
Minnesota is a much better choice. I was going to move there in 1975 (after returning from 6 months in L.A.), and always regret not doing so. Very friendly people. The weather is not for everybody, but then neither are the overcrowding, high cost of living, and low wages in Cal.I'm looking' California and feelin' Minnesota..........

I think it is pegasus216 who is the big fan of them - she loves that group! That line is from their song Outshined. it's on the Bad Motorfinger album. Probably one of the top 5 albums of the 90's \w/.

You are wicked funny and I never knew all this about you. Thanks for the enlightenment. I've been married since I was 21 as well, married now longer in life than I've not been married. How'd we do that?I am Esa.
I just turned 54 and have been married for nigh on 33 years and cannot figure out how my wife has put up with my foolishness for so long. I have 3 sons and a daughter and work in the new-home construction industry. I was born and raised in Toronto and now live a couple of hours north-east of the city. I pretty much read whenever I have free time, watch films and listen to music. I come here to be an Idiot in waiting and occasionally can grind out a cogent comment or two.
My first SK: Salem's Lot
And I have never been to Ocean City.
You're welcome. If there was an instruction manual for long-lasting marriages, divorce lawyers wouldn't exist. Each union is unique and at least in my opinion you have to work hard at it to make it last. You are wicked funny and I never knew all this about you. Thanks for the enlightenment. My wife and I have never raised our voices to each other or ever really fought. Now there have been some protracted silences, but it's too easy to blurt out something very hurtful in the heat of the moment, and just like the internet, it's always out there.Too true. I think we bickered and picked on each other constantly for 6 entire years - 1991 thru 1997. And then it just stopped. Not that's is all fun and games now, but we learned where to tread lightly. I wouldn't want to be a newlywed again for a million bucks.
...c'mon soldier!...you know THAT title belongs to me, but you can be the Idiot's Jester-and bring me copious pitchers of the Royal Ale...
...we shall share in the fermented delights...I stand corrected, but I CAN aspire!!!...and drink ale...I can do both....but mostly drink ale....
...thank you Judge Dredd...I am the Law.......
