Michael Lark is a Harvey and Eisner Award winning graphic novel artist, best known for his work on DC Comics' Gotham Central and Marvel Comics' Daredevil. He got his start writing and drawing his own black and white comics for Caliber Press, and through word-of-mouth was offered the chance to draw Dean Motter's retro-futurist screwball comedy Terminal City and its sequel for DC/Vertigo. Since then, he has gone on to pencil and ink a variety of monthly titles for both Marvel and DC, including Sandman Mystery Theater, Shade The Changing Man, Captain America, Stephen King's Dark Tower and Amazing Spider-Man, as well as the graphic novels Batman: Nine Lives, Superman: War Of The Worlds, and his creator-owned project Scene Of The Crime, with writer Ed Brubaker. When he's not drawing comics, he obsessively pursues his love of music, especially West African percussion. He lives and works in the blistering heat of Dallas, Texas, where he shares an older 1920s home with his son and two moody and possessive cats.
