Phil Hale,a highly respected American figurative painter, has been called a modern illustration powerhouse. His surrealistic figurative paintings are loved by comic fans and art collectors alike. Born in 1963 into a family of artists, he became an apprentice to fellow American artist Richard Berry when he was only sixteen.
