It took a lot of guts to make a sequel to one of the greats. The story picks up 22 years after Psycho when Norman gets out of the institution and moves back to the Bates Motel. Soon after he’s back, he starts getting notes from mother. A very good sequel. 7/10

CREEP- After all of the reviews I set a recording for this weeks ago.It finally recorded and I sat to watch it yesterday.45 minutes into it I'm thinking,"This is really bad.How did it get good reviews and I thought it was about some guy going off the rails." 21- Halloween 2 (1981) – I love how this one picks up immediately after the last one. Donald Pleasence was so perfect for his role in this series.
They are showing these again tonight but starting earlier. I hope to catch 4 and 5 tonight. I never bother with 3.

I watched all 10 episodes of Hemlock Grove's third and final season.
I'm counting it as five movies.
The final season was much better than the second. Still kinda cheesy, but I like cheesy horror. I thought they wrapped it up nicely, too. 3 out of 5 stars.

"Dr. Rod Barrett's (William Prince) young daughter has been kidnapped by a mysterious maniac who has buried her alive "in a large coffin". The doctor has five hours in which to find and rescue her before her air runs out and she suffocates. The maniacal killer apparently also murdered Barrett's wife and her sister.
Various family members and friends become potential suspects as they help in the search, wandering through dark graveyards, crypts, thunder and lightning, and red-herrings. The somewhat muddy plot leads to a surprise conclusion that reveals the guilty party and the motive. At the film's end, a narrator requests that the audience not reveal the unexpected ending to others."

42.) Housebound (2014). I liked it! Loved the leading actress and her permanent scowl (her real name is Morgana! ). Plus, her first response to a possible supernatural enemy was to punch it or take after it with a power tool - Ha! Wasn't prepared for the funny stuff - I actually laughed aloud during a few parts.

When the guy gets caught up in the laundry basket, for instance. And Eugene looked like Beetlejuice's brother! 
YAY! I just started that last night (only watched 1 episode), but even that was WAY better than season 2. That thing stank up the place until the last 2 episodes--its was like they had no idea what they wanted to do with the story until the very end--lol.
I thought of you while I was watching. It is sooooo much better than season 2.
I was very pleased with how they tied everything up at the end.

A woman in therapy describes dreams of a horrible murder against another woman, only to find that her nightmare has come true, making her the prime suspect. Convoluted giallo thriller by Lucio Fulci, this movie is his trippiest, hippiest and most overtly sexual (I suspect there was pressure to make a pure exploitation film). The multiple dream sequences are definitely a highlight, but the real show stopper is an extended dialog-free stalking/chase scene, punctuated by another scene that will especially resonate with anyone who has a fear of bats. Much of the movie lacks coherence, but it is somehow all tied together by the end, making you want to re-watch it knowing what you've learned. A must for fans of Fulci & giallo.

30) Late Phases-Decent werewolf flick. Those aren't usually my thing, but at least this was better than Wolf or Del Toro's The Wolf Man (lol). One scene of animal mutilation (German Shepherd, even) got to me, and that stuff usually doesn't. 3/5 (FTV)
31) Dracula: Prince of Darkness-(1966) Another Lee Dracula film that I hadn't seen. It was pretty good, though I missed Peter Cushing's Van Helsing. I liked how they brought Drac back from Horror of Dracula--it was inventive! 4/5 (FTV)
The next few days will probably be filled with old favorites like Fright Night, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, 30 Days of Night, Cabin in the Woods, etc. I might or might not list those, depends on how crazy the kids make me in the lead up to Halloween.
