Quoting myself because now I wish this was our forecast for Friday.

This is getting to the point where I want nice weather so bad it almost hurts.

Going to the store today. Shouldn't need much but going to make sure, just in case.
(((cat))) I understand completely. I don't want to jinx myself about that four letter word but sure do hope we don't have another one like that. It seems like, at least here, the last few years the seasons have been off, coming about a month later than usual. My emotional tolerance for that shift hasn't quite caught up, though.

Atlantic Canada got a big snowstorm recently - did it affect you much in Maine?

Nice day for a downtown party.

DOWNTOWN WINNIPEG READY TO HOST WINNIPEG WHITEOUT STREET PARTY

Winnipeg, Manitoba – Downtown Winnipeg is ready to host the Winnipeg Jets and all of the Jets fans tonight as Donald Street shuts down and we come together on the streets to cheer on our NHL team at the Winnipeg Whiteout Street Party.

They've cleaned the streets and put on extra patrols to ensure safety.

Thirty Downtown Watch ambassadors will be on site patrolling downtown, acting as additional “eyes and ears” for the Winnipeg Police Service and providing SafeWalks for anyone who would like one. The team and volunteers are first aid (CPR-certified) trained, and can offer assistance wherever needed.

Lastly, two CHAT (Community Homeless Assistance Team) Outreach patrols will be on site to communicate with individuals who may be in need.

Downtown Winnipeg is ready to celebrate!

My son went there right after work so I hope he's keeping warm.

Since it's a "White Out" party it's lucky he's wearing his white winter parka.
