Ireland is having a heatwave and a drought. We've had temperatures in the high 80's and low 90's. Believe me, for Ireland that's a heatwave. It hasn't rained in a month and all the grass is completely brown and scorched. Now maybe people will believe me when I tell them rain is good.

Wow! That must be like Seattle having a drought. When you are that used to having frequent rain, then don't, I imagine it's pretty tough on evertyhing and everyone!

I would send you all my extra if I could. Rain is good- in moderation, without the wind, swirling, thunder and lightning,

Same here! We saw one of the neighbourhood cats use the grass to scratch her back this morning... The grass is actually crunchy. Yet the weather people keep yapping about how "we don't have to worry it's going to rain anytime soon". Sorry, what? Come again? :suspicion:

We are down to 30degC in Kelowna, its better than 38deg the last few days. Tuesday night there was a
lightning storm with over 1,000 strikes.. Now we have 34 new wildfires. Two towns were evac'd early this morning. It is going to be a wait and see situation as to who is evac'd next. The Emergency Preparedness System lists it as extreme right now.

I never would have believed I'd say this (after three more or less rainy summers), but I wouldn't be too unhappy if the temperature should go down, say 5 degrees.
31 C today. And that's pretty much the exact temp also in my apartment.
