I saw the Wrightsville Beach cam this morning. The surfers were having a ball and it looked like a wonderful beach day!

In anticipation for Thursday’s weather shenanigans, my RM reserved me a hotel room near work so at least I won’t have to try to travel in any foolishness we may get.

Thanks, my friend! They just said in the news that we sent some fighter jets to Ohio from Norfolk Airforce Base!
With the track continuing to shift south, they are easing up on VA impact predictions. NC/SC will be impacted. Continued prayers for those in the path! 
I'm sore from lifting generators for folks running to the home improvement center afraid of losing power because of the potential problems from Flo (and it's not even forecast to affect us much). 'Portable'... my a$$!

Florence is a "monster;" she's a Category 4.
Both the Carolinas braced for when she comes ashore.
Mass evacuations all along the southern coast.
Residents who try to ride it out at home are toast.
Florence isn't like the other hurricanes we've seen
And she's gonna hang around the region, which will mean
Rain they're measuring in feet with flooding in its wake.
Choosing to ignore the warnings is a huge mistake.
Stock up on supplies; check on your neighbors if they're old.

This might be a post for the Angry Thread, but just reading on the latest update that folks who are trying to evacuate to Columbia are being turned away from hotels because USC hasn't cancelled their football game yet and folks who have rooms reserved won't give up their rooms until they know about the game. What is wrong with people??? 1) postpone the stupid game, 2) give folks who are forced out of their homes a room, for Pete's sake!!!

I agree they should postpone or move the game, as others have, but is Columbia the only place to get rooms? Personally, I would be calling all over as I evacuate looking for available rooms before committing to a particular city/town.
