Fall is definitely here. Sunny cool days and cold nights. Down to 6deg last night. It's dark now before 8 pm. Good bye summer, good radiance. Fires, boiled water advisories, so many homes lost in the fires, triple numbers of fentanyl deaths, extreme heat day after day Yup, not going to miss Summer 2018' (I know, I'm just a little ray of sunshine today aren't I.);)

Summer continues here in FL. Mornings are a tad cooler, getting darker earlier, tropical season in full swing. Longing for November.

People are coming into the Home Improvement center getting ready for Hurricane (kiss my grits) Flo. Been selling a lot of generators, sump pumps, hoses and fans. Alarming how many people want to run generators in their garages. I say no... you can’t do that unless you want to die. Why, they ask. I tell them because carbon monoxide poisoning will kill them. I tell them generators should never be operated anywhere inside a home, including garages or basements. And ideally generators should operate only in an outside dry area and 20-30 feet away from the house. So they should take some time and build themselves a little lean to box for the generator or get themselves a gentent. I built myself a lean to enclosure for my generator, but need to fix the roof on the thing.

Landfall and immediate area I believe:
Sundrop , do1you9love? , thekidd12

Not sure about other states inland.
Anyone else??????
I'm farther inland. We will see lots of rain and winds in the 35-40 mph range. Our main concern will be flooding, landslides, falling trees, and power outages.
do1you9love? and thekidd12 are in a much more dangerous area than I am.
The BF is likely going to be pretty close to where it makes landfall.
wdb1124 is also in Central Virginia. I'm not sure about any SC or GA members.
I was just getting ready to tag him. You beat me to it!

I know, I'm more worried about y'all though! You'll feel much more of the impact.
If it stalls, we're all doomed......
Yep. I know folks who were devastated from Harvey, last year and I am just terrified that this has potential to do the same thing. Trying to be positive. The forecast here seems to be improving every time the track shifts, but that just makes we worry more for you and others in the more southern track inland.

There's only one thing I'm truly afraid of at the moment......and I won't speak it out loud.
