Well, not that much snow in these parts this winter. We have had some freezing rain this week though. My friend always says that you don't drive on ice, you just hope for the best (paraphrasing). I have seen a lot of people talking smack about the driving capabilities of the people from Atlanta. I just sympathize with them. I grew up having to learn to drive in icy snowy weather. They didn't. I can imagine how freaked out that could make people!

We get lots of snow, but those first snowfalls are treacherous to drive on so I know what Atlanta experienced, slippery doesn't begin to describe it. Lived in Iowa for a time, too...freezing rain overnight, try to drive the next morning, 4WD even, 25 on a blacktop incline heading out of town (North Liberty) and w/o any effort at all, in two seconds I was fifty yards out in a corn field. I crawled home in granny-gear and waited for the sun to come out.

(((notebookgirl,))) I hope things improve there soon. :)

Thanks, I have decided to spend an evening with a friend! YAY! I get to go out and have some fun. My boys will stay home and watch hockey or sleep. I will leave after the boys go to bed and won't be out long. It just will be nice to get out of my PJs, however, I may need to change into a rubber suit, just in case I carry any germs!:very_drunk::mummy:
