I went and bought a large mug of flat white coffee and a warmed-up apricot danish pastry for breakfast at the coffee shop. Later I read something, I had a sandwich for lunch(tomato and cheese). I feel depressed today compared to yesterday. I had a funny dream this morning. I'm not shure if I should have a beer in one hour's time as I haven't had anything to drink since Sunday. I listened to NPR newshour on Australian ABC on my portable little radio I carry. They were talking about the Starbuck's thing. I will most probably listen to 'talkin' sport' later on with the ex-league players and cricketer. I wish I had been an elite sportsperson or musician.

Oooops - did I screw that up :a11:?

It was way back in 1989 and my son Josh was only 3. We left him with his grandparents in Spring Hill Florida and went to Disney World and Epcot Centre.

I remember feeling so dumb going through It's a Small World without our son. The best part of the whole place (for me) was an island that had parrots on it. They took you to it on a boat.

It was okay I guess but it did not live up to all the hype.

We did enjoy going to the Canadian Pavilion as when we asked for a cup of tea, we got a proper cup of tea in a teapot, with the bag inside and with boiling water.

Every other place we had been to on our trip tried to give us cold tea or if they attempted a hot tea they screwed it up badly. :biggrin2:

That's the problem with growing up with a Scottish mother - that whole tea ritual thing becomes important to you.

I would actually go again (if I got a free trip) - who wouldn't, right?

We saw "Captain EO" in 3D with Michael Jackson :icon_eek:

I think you may be thinking of an8mal kingdom perhaps? I have two fiends, one who hated Disneyland and hates Disney, not shure why she whent, and another who likes the older dis eye movies and just loves the parks

Granddaughters school was still closed due to weather. We went for a walk to the mall. The city has not cleared the sidewalks yet. The complex cleaned the walkways, but left large hills of ice/snow leading to sidewalks, so it was hard escaping with a stroller. Finally made it to the sidewalk, which was not cleared. I struggled pushing the stroller through...this was not smooth snow, it was frozen all ridgey. Get across the street from the mall. The city had cleared the road and there was a two foot hill of ice to get over. No way could I lift the stroller. Turned around and went home.

Normally that would take about 20 minutes. It took over 90. By the time I got home my shoulder was just screaming in pain. Advil took care of that.

How stupid. Call the city or something. Where do you live?

Today I am going to go for a drive with my mom out to our city’s airport, they are doing a bit of an expansion and they have opened up a new outlet mall, and we do not know exactly where it is. So we are both doing nothing so we will drive out their, and perhaps I will start to read a book called the Bennie babie bubble, about how Bennie abates became popular in the 1990’s and how they just died

Today I didn’t dare take the stroller. Had a 2 year old walking. It was about 8 blocks total to get to and from the school.

Called the city and they said they were currently cleaning sidewalks in my neighbourhood. It was done by 3 when I returned to the school.

Apparently our mayor felt clearing bike trails was priority over sidewalks and side street roads.

I screwed up big time at work today. I'm lucky to have not been fired, honestly. Trying to make up for it by cashing in on a belated birthday meal and cocktails at one of my favorite restaurants but I could still use some cute animals, guys.

That is good that you also have models and pop culture stuff. It is true that I got angry when my mother gave some of my model planes to my sister's son to play with and some got broken and my mother also gave some of my comics to him and they got ripped. I got angry but I didn't smash them with a hammer, I was exaggerating. I just picked one of my planes up and threw it down and kicked it. I hope you don't get angry like that at the Second-hand/Salvation Army store where you work. You can get some good stuff like the Simpsons stuff people hand in. I hope you find some King DVD's and videos.

Tsk tsk - hope all is okay - I remember when I was younger I would sometimes act first without thinking something through.

Here's a cute puppy with a very patient cat - will that do?
