Had some time to kill this afternoon so I went to see Don't Breathe. Not a big fan of home invasion movies but there wasn't anything else that looked interesting. Stephen Lang is always a draw for me though. It was a pretty good watch, with some fun (i.e. nasty) little twists along the way. If this is the type of film that floats your boat (hopefully not down into a sewer with a balloon sticking out of the grating), then it's worth a look.

I'm also a Stephen Lang fan, and was wondering if this was worth watching. Thanks!

Watching El Ray's Labors of Superman marathon--all the old Chris Reeve flicks. Well, watching the first one right now. Superman:The Movie. Always liked this one, despite some of its more wonkier moments (that whole lame can you read my mind? Lois inner dialogue piece, and the turning-back-time-by-flying-around-the-world schtick, yeesh), but, doggone, ol Chris Reeve just does such a fine job as the big blue Boy Scout/geeky Clark Kent. And Gene Hackman is the best Lex Luthor ever.

Probably watch Superman II just to dig Terance Stamp's excellent General Zod, and I probably won't be able to turn away from the weirdo train wreck that was Superman III (tobacco tar kryptonite?), and ya gotta love Richard Pryor. But...ugh, I'll put forks through my eyes before I watch Superman IV: A Quest For Peace. Yeeechhh.

Aw man, can't go wrong there. The first movie I remember going to was my older brother taking me to a drive-in cinema (remember those?) when Superman came out. That film was, is, will always be, pure magic.

Zack Snyder's last two movies were an apology for everything Superman stands for. Chris Reeves will always be the benchmark I measure any movie Superman against.

Badge of Honor

Cop drama about a bad shooting that was covered up by a crooked cop and his unlucky partner. Mena Suvari, Natasha Hemstridge, and Martin Sheen where the known actors in the film. Not a terrible movie but not great either. It's on Netflix if anyone is interested. Be warned that there are couple of graphic sex scenes in it if that bothers you or if there may be kids around when you watch it.

Also re-watched The Burbs and Sixteen Candles on Netflix over the last few days. Both crack me up. The Burbs especially.

Lol, I hear ya. Funny, I almost said Ruffalo but figured he was too buff and short. Marlowe is 6 feet and isn't a great fighter...he's often coming out on the worst side of a scrap. Edward Norton would be perfect, actually, now that you mention it.
Ruffalo would get my vote - he was in a movie with two actresses portraying lesbians (Julianne Moore and Annette Bening I think) and he was quite hot in that one!

You've inspired me to pull out Frankenstein, muskrat :) That's my favorite of the original Universal monsters. Reminds me, I need to find a copy of The Invisible Man, too--that's my son's favorite, and Universal must have caught on to the unauthorized posting on YT, because it's gone.
