Strange Brew (1983). Heh heh, take off, you hosers. Bob and Doug MacKinzey guzzling beer, munching doughnuts, and frying back bacon. Beauty, eh? If that's life in the Great White North, sign me up.

You should be posting in the 2016 Halloween Movie Marathon thread (or words to that effect)Bride of Frankenstein.
A Face in the Crowd (1957). Elia Kazan directs this Bud Schulberg story of a drunken Arkansas nobody who rises to fame and power through the shifty machinations of media and advertising--heady stuff for 1957, and even more so today. Andy Griffith's first starring role, and...whoa! What a performance! A rather sinister role, like Andy Taylor's evil doppelgänger. Weeee doggies! With Walter Matthau and Lee Remick. Another fine Kazan flick.
I just checked Netflix and couldn't find it.Christeen from Netflix
First time I had seen it.
Followed book fairly well!
Why don't you join the Halloween movie thread and post your October movies there?Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed
Hammer film from 4 BFSD (or 1969 for those of you that don't know BFSD stands for Before Swift Dog )
Peter Cushing as Baron Frankenstein. Directed by Terence Fisher. It was pretty good. Hadn't seen it before. Different for Cushing to be a bad guy in a Hammer film.

Ok, I only gave it a cursory glance, didn't understand the rules. Is it a competition? I don't watch that many horror movies. I enjoy the King films and the nostalgic ones from the '80s. Maybe I will look closer at that thread, thanks. Why don't you join our October movie marathon thread and post your movies there? All for fun!

NO! All it is, is a place for people to tell us what they are watching for October, give us all ideas. You can watch as many or as little as you want. Everyone is TRYING to watch 31 for the Halloween holiday, but that isn't a HAVE TO at all. Just for fun. Everyone hoping to discover some real gem they haven't seen. And that includes old stand bys to the newer stuff. And, many of us re-watch our old favorites just because we have too!Ok, I only gave it a cursory glance, didn't understand the rules.
