Saw The Magnificent Seven. I wasn't really looking forward to it, but went with an open mind. I was expecting big, loud and stupid. Stupid it wasn't. Solid 8 out of 10.

How was it?London Has Fallen. Action/adventure with good FX. It's the sequel to Olympus Has Fallen, but I didn't see that one. Got the bluray at Value Village for $2.99 and couldn't pass it up!
I liked it. London falls within the first 1/2 hour and the rest of the movie is about keeping the President safe from the terrorists. There's quite abit of humor thrown in for good measure. How was it?
Gotcha, thanks. I'll wait for it to hit our premium channels.I liked it. London falls within the first 1/2 hour and the rest of the movie is about keeping the President safe from the terrorists. There's quite abit of humor thrown in for good measure.
Yes - he was very good in that one. Have you seen Westworld (TV series) yet?Fracture
Loved it. Anthony Hopkins at his best (i.e. creepiest).
Not yet. How is it?Yes - he was very good in that one. Have you seen Westworld (TV series) yet?
I liked the opening episode so far - the second one was just okayNot yet. How is it?
Decided to wait on 10 Cloverfield Lane and introduced LilMan to Carpenter's The Thing instead. I haven't watched that in probably a decade, and I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time I was it when it was released He liked it, too--bonus!
Just started watching An American in Paris. Not sure why I've never watched this as Singin' in the Rain is one of my favorites.
I'm wondering--why does watching Gene Kelly sing and dance make me tear up? I think it's some sort of mixture of childhood nostalgia, awe of his talent, and sadness that he's not here anymore.
Years ago so I don't remember that much about it. I was probably more focused on ONJ, floating around on the Grease cloud that obsessed my youth. Mayhap time for a rewatch.A good one, yep. Me, I dig seeing Leslie Caron dance.
Ever seen Xanadu, with Gene Kelly dancing alonside Olivia Newton John?
Watching Baryshnikov dance does the same to me. Not so much childhood for me, but I think it's about seeing someone doing something so exquisitely--it's almost like pride that a human can do the wonderful things. Even if it's not me, SOMEONE is soaring higher than most people even dream of going.Just started watching An American in Paris. Yes.....it is a pride in the human ability to be so good at something, to have worked so hard and to be so talented...then to be right here in front of me on the screen so I'm witness to it. You nailed it, Autumn.Watching Baryshnikov dance does the same to me.
